"great location near the IFS and friendly staff! they do group dumpling nights and have alcohol/coffee for sale. the air conditioning worked great and they provide free water. the shower was not very clean though, the drain was almost entirely clogged and the foor was not slanted in a way that it would have drained well regardless. very moldy and stank up the room :(. we stayed at a private two bed room instead of shared accommodations so other showers may have been better."

"An incredibly satisfying experience!
**Amenities**: It's a shared bathroom, but it has individual stalls and comes with shower gel and shampoo. You'll need to bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, and cup.
**Cleanliness**: Very clean; it's tidied daily, and the common areas are also spotless with no cigarette smell.
**Environment**: Men and women are housed on separate floors. It's located near Taikoo Li and Chunxi Road, making transportation convenient. There's also a Mixue Ice Cream & Tea flagship store nearby.
**Service**: Attentive, and they even host activities on the rooftop."

However, during my several-day stay, the staff didn't inform me that I could get a free bottle of water daily. When I asked about it later, after being there for three days, the staff member was reluctant to give me what was rightfully mine—just one bottle of water. That was completely unnecessary and quite a mood killer. Their service awareness definitely needs improvement."

"The room was spacious and bright, with all the necessary facilities. The location was very convenient for transportation, making it easy to get around. There's a bus stop right across the street, and the subway station isn't far either. The bedding was neatly folded and clean, and my roommates were all friendly. It was quiet at night, with no disturbing noises, and the service was excellent."

"First off, the hygiene was excellent! We stayed for three days, and our room was cleaned daily with fresh sheets and duvet covers, which was very reassuring. There's a private elevator, so no waiting in lines. Plus, the shared ice cream machine was a lifesaver in this scorching summer heat! The owner was very friendly and recommended some great local snacks. Being from the same hometown in Northeast China, they even treated us to a draft beer! So good! 👍"

"The staff who checked me in were friendly and polite (even a little enthusiastic!), and all the staff were great. The blue and white decor is fresh and appealing. The common areas include restrooms, shower rooms, a laundry room, and a vanity room (with hair dryers). I never had to wait for a shower during my stay; I think there were about 7 shower stalls, 3 washing machines, and 1 dryer. Both the restrooms and vanity rooms have faucets. There are also indoor and outdoor drying areas for clothes. The terrace is lovely, though there were quite a few mosquitoes at night. The bedding was attractive and clean, and there were plenty of charging ports. There's ample storage space in the luggage room and in-room lockers, plus a dedicated cabinet for outdoor shoes.
The slippers came in sealed covers, and the woven bag had a reassuring, non-pungent disinfectant smell – I really, really loved that woven bag! Can't I please have one?!
There were also some convenient daily necessities and snacks for purchase in the lobby, along with free drinking water. All in all, it was a very comfortable stay!"

GGuest UserYou might be a little worried if you don't know how to check in until the last minute, and if you don't speak English or Chinese.
When I arrived, the owner was very kind and helped me with a lot of things.
The kitchen window was wide open, so it was a little cold inside the building,
and the bunk beds had no curtains, so there was no private space at all,
but aside from that, the environment was very good.
There were people always occupying the living room and sofa, which are shared spaces, and I'm not sure if they were tourists or related people, but you might find it a little uncomfortable.
There were no particular cleaning rules, which are common in dormitories, and the check-out time was arbitrary, which was nice, so I felt it was a laid-back place that was typical of Chengdu.

GGuest UserThe B&B is right in the ancient city, and it is very convenient for shopping, eating, and going to the Dujiangyan scenic area. The room is decorated very distinctively. Because the boss himself is a senior traveler, the photos on the wall are naturally souvenirs of his many years of travel. The room is not big but very clean and neat and orderly, exuding a sense of relaxation and comfort without losing warmth and elegance. The first time I came to Dujiangyan for tourism, the boss came to greet me in person and introduced the precautions for visiting the scenic spots and the characteristics of the surrounding environment. I can't help but feel that the boss treats the guests as friends. During this trip to Dujiangyan, I not only appreciated the spectacular water conservancy project, but also the encounter at Zifeiyu B&B was even more memorable!

I was pleasantly surprised by the high-quality wood used throughout the room – both the walls and floors were wooden. The decor was simple, unique, and stylish. I also really loved the small courtyard; when the sun was out, I'd lie on the lounge chair outside my room, soaking up the sun and watching the light filter through the leaves. It was a small, enjoyable pastime.
I absolutely adored the common areas. I initially chose this hostel primarily for its communal spaces. Since I didn't have many travel plans for this vacation, having such a spacious yet intimate common area was wonderful. I could flip through a book, study a bit, drink some tea, or chat with fellow travelers from all over. Even just watching people come and go felt warm and interesting. The atmosphere really captivated me.
In just a few short days, it felt a little like home, like my own little base in this area. The vibe among everyone was great, and I think I'll remember it. It was beautiful and genuine, somewhat aligning with my vision of the world and human co-existence. The brothers and elementary school student I played ping-pong with, the friends from around the world who made dumplings and watched the Spring Festival Gala, the incredibly talented and beautiful young woman with pink bangs, the American guy who was fascinated by Chinese tech companies, my San Francisco friend learning Chinese, the young-at-heart gentleman who transitioned from finance to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the textile designer from around the world studying art… The encounters were brief and wonderful. It was a fleeting glimpse into a corner of the world, a peek into a brushstroke of your life's canvas. I feel happy and honored.
I loved the space and the flow of the design. Hope to see you again!

GGuest User1. Located just a few hundred meters to the right of Chengdu East Railway Station exit, this place is perfect for catching trains, for example, if you're heading to the Leshan Giant Buddha.
2. It's clean and tidy with a pleasant environment. You can do laundry, and they provide detergent, dish soap, hand soap, etc.
3. There's a dedicated dining lounge, and plenty of hot water for drinking and showering. They also have a special area for hanging clothes.
4. The room is quite spacious; the 8-person dorm had no problem accommodating all our luggage.
5. You change your own bedding (sheets, duvet cover, pillowcase) which is replaced for each guest. The bed is quite comfortable, and the bedside charging and night light are convenient. The curtains provide good privacy and block out light effectively.

AAnonymous UserThe emplacement is rather nice, it's in a narrow street that allows for a more peaceful environment. If you want to call taxis though, they won't get in, you will have to walk to the bigger road (very close by)
To get to the reception, you will have to climb stairs.
If you get a room with shared toilets, just be sure you can handle squat toilets.
The walls are rather thin but earplugs are being provided.
The shared shower area only has heads that can't be moved from the wall.
The shared room has thin mattresses, if you can't handle it, I would recommend a private room instead. If the room is full of luggage, it's possible to put some under the bed.

DD E D EThis hostel provides everything to make your stay enjoyable. With full facilities like towels, toiletries, free water, boardgames, a big common area, an outdoor garden - a patio with nice scenery, a semi bar, a quiet area for reading and studying also a big bonus, and more.
The location is also a few steps from a bus stop and tucked inside a parking area, so you will not hear the noisy street.
Too bad, few of my roommates ( local chinese, maybe students ? ) cant keep the room clean and organized with their stuff cluttered and make the room a little bit messy. However the whole area is clean and the staffs also friendly
With a very affordable rate, this hostel is a winner

TtheunaprincessaFirst, shoutout to the staff, because they were all superb, very helpful, friendly, and on top of everything - spoke great English.
The hostel itself has a really nice bar area with daily live music. The cocktails and coffee are amazing, and there are also reasonably priced breakfast options (that I personally haven't tried) that you can enjoy indoors or outdoors. The hostel offers daily activities and access to tours and private drivers, so you may want to check it out before you book yourself for something.
Location-wise, there is a metro stop a short walk away, and taxis never had issues finding the hostel, but you'll always be picked up on the other side of the street. It's within a walking distance from the Wenshu Monastery, and therefore street food area - very convenient.
My room was a four-people bedroom (female only) and the room itself, although small, it was clean. So were the bedsheets. The towels are not provided, so bring your own, but shower gel and shampoo are. Having bathroom inside the room is definitely convenient, but can be a nightmare if your roommates come back and use a hair dryer at 1am. It's not the hostel's fault, but pointing it out as something you may want to consider discussing with your roommates. Each person in the room will have a locker assigned too (mine didn't have a lock, but the others' did, so you may want to check that with the staff. Personally, I wasn't bothered).
There is also a communal fridge and washing machine (for an extra fee) on the second floor.
Overall, I'd say it was a great experience and a nice hang-out spot in Chengdu!

GGuest UserI stayed at Chengdu XiangPi Inn for one night (April 14–15, 2026) and booked a bed in the 6-person male-only shared room. Overall, it was a solid budget-friendly option, but there are a few things worth noting depending on what you’re looking for.
The biggest plus is definitely the price—you get exactly what you pay for, and for a short stay it does the job. The room itself was fairly basic but functional. The bed was decent enough for one night, and the space didn’t feel overly cramped despite having multiple occupants. That said, privacy is minimal, as expected in a shared dorm setup.
Cleanliness was okay, though not perfect. The shared bathroom was usable but could have been maintained a bit better, especially during busier hours. If you’re particular about hygiene, this is something to keep in mind.
The atmosphere was quiet enough when I stayed, and most guests were respectful, which made it easier to rest. Staff interactions were limited but smooth—check-in and check-out were straightforward without any issues.
Overall, Chengdu XiangPi Inn is a practical choice if you’re traveling on a tight budget and just need a place to sleep for a night or two. It’s not luxurious, but it’s functional and reasonably comfortable for short stays.

LLisraekenAt fhe first, I could bot find the hotel, but I talked to the owner and she was so kind and promptly videocalled me and gave me instructions how to get to the hotel which is near to the bus station. The location of the hotel is very convenient, nearby you have a park, many restaurants, pharmacy, bus station. The hotel has some local people many of them were very friendly to me, we shared the food and sit next to each other for some time and talked in chinese. The owner of the hotel can speak English and she will give the clients the best service, she is really outspoken, caring and kind. The bathroom is public, you can share it with others, you can wash your clothes and then hang it. I enjoyed my staying, it is like a dormitory, you have your own bed, but you share the room with the others as the same gender as you.
