"The hygiene and the surrounding area are good, and the transportation is very convenient. The shared bathrooms and toilets generally don't require a long wait. However, the room is quite small, with each of the two beds being only about one meter wide, and the gap in between is too narrow for a person to pass through. The walls are also not very soundproof; you can hear your neighbor's phone ringing."

"Grids Tokyo Ueno hotel & hostel has a great location. Nearby train station and shopping areas. Easy access to many attractions. Have a shared kitchen where we can make our own food. Very vibrant places with many different people who come from different countries. Shared bathrooms and toilets are clean and comfortable to use. Have paid to use laundry service available. Beds are clean and comfortable."

"Probably the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. The location is great and very well connected to all the spots I wanted to go to. The hostel was incredibly clean especially the bathrooms and staff came in and tidied regularly. I stayed in one of the pod beds which was surprisingly very comfortable too. The downstairs area was very nice and the staff were super accommodating, the lady (I forgot to ask her name 😔) on the front desk was lovely and offered me some local snacks, asked me how my day had been and offered some suggestions of places to visit. I would certainly come back to here if I visit Tokyo again."

"I absolutely loved my stay at A16 Hostel. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The place was very clean, comfortable, and well located, close to Asakusabachi station and many shops and restaurants. The atmosphere was calm and pleasant, and everything was well organized. "Had a great experience here. The location is excellent, with two subway stations within a five-minute walk. The facilities are also very comprehensive, and you can see the Tokyo Skytree directly from the balcony. The sleeping environment was very comfortable, and my roommate was very considerate."

"Came back after three days in South Korea so this was technically my second time staying here! Perfect for what I needed—a place to sleep and come back to after a day of exploring. Very friendly staff who were kind and helpful. This time, I had a large piece of luggage (bike box) and they were kind enough to let me put it in the hallway for one night. I also liked that I was able to have my luggage picked up right at Hotel Palace Japan by a luggage delivery service (Airporter) and sent to the airport on the same day. These were really helpful things for my last few days in Japan. The laundry was efficient but I wish there was a place to hang my clothes to dry (the balcony doesn’t have places to hang laundry). The only thing I wish were different was that the closet in my room seemed like something wet was placed there for a long time, so it smelled a little bit mildewy but acceptable. The first room I stayed in didn’t have this problem. When I come back to Tokyo, this will definitely be the place I stay again."

GGuest UserWe stayed at the hotel as a family for 2+3 nights, in different rooms. The room was spacious and had a small kitchen and a washing machine, plus a large shower. We ran into an issue in the second room: the previous guests had left the air conditioning on heating at 30 degrees, and it wouldn't start. We're not used to heating with AC, so we tried different modes and didn't think to just lower the temperature ourselves. We contacted customer support, but since they don't work overnight, we only got a response in the morning. Ultimately, we had to start the AC at 20-22 degrees and then gradually raise it to 26. It's worth remembering that Japan doesn't have central heating, so rooms will always feel a bit cool. There's paid luggage storage right by the entrance, which is probably good if you're worried about leaving valuables in your room. Also, there are luggage lockers at almost every subway station. For a late checkout, it's probably best to leave your bags somewhere in the city center. We really liked the neighborhood: lots of 24-hour convenience stores. Near the MCD subway station, there's Starbucks and local restaurants. In the shopping center, past the Starbucks, they have excellent donuts in the morning, and good sushi too. In the evenings, we walked to the tower. The value for money for a family room was excellent. Thanks for the hospitality!

RRRRRRRRRRRstayed here for a early shinkansen departure. got everything you need and facilities are quite clean. the capsule itself is definitely bigger than those in 9 hours but you wont have your personal locker as there is a small lockable drawer in your capsule. even got free breakfast from 5-10 am!

GGuest UserThe ladders are wide and easy to climb. There's a spacious common living room on the floor, which is very comfortable for relaxing. Each room accommodates several people and has its own password lock, offering great security. There are plenty of restrooms and two shower rooms. Some restrooms even come with a sink and mirror, which is really convenient. The service was very gentle and excellent, and there's a Chinese staff member at the front desk. The downside is that it's a bit far from the subway station, almost a kilometer away. However, it's surrounded by Shinjuku's commercial areas, making it great for evening strolls.

GGuest UserI liked this place. A pretty standard classic capsule hotel: sizeable capsule with a console, daily turnover service, large shower and onsen room with an attached steam room. Service was good: they have an army of twinks working there after hours, it was like being checked in by BTS. All issues I had with my capsule (broken lightbulb) were addressed quickly and cheerfully. Sometimes it kinda seemed like they were laughing at a few of the foreign guests, but you know what, fair. This place is kinda rules heavy, with lots of notices posted around the property. There is no eating or drinking in the capsules, and instead you have to go to this common area that feels a bit like a hospice for abandoned uncles. Vending machines, manga library, smoking cubicles, that sorta thing. Clean and tidy though, equal numbers of dudes using it for remote working and day drinking (I have a feeling that some ppl live in this place). They have the usual elaborate system of lockers and keys, but they will store your luggage for you while you are out. No need to check out in the day. Overall a chill experience. While I was staying there though some dude did have a mini breakdown about what he saw as it's shortcomings, so I just wanted to comment on that. According to him the place was disgusting. He was especially perturbed by the housekeeping service and the showers. His claim was the the toilets were dirty and that it was unacceptable to fold bedsheets on the floor. Mind you, he was having this rant at 10:30 - checkout is at 10:00, meaning that a whole stampede of airport-bound weebs had just taken spicy ramen fuelled power dumps so they could get out of there on time. Most of the day the facilities were pretty spotless in my opinion. In regards to folding the bedsheets on the floor, I dunno what in the Disney princess he was expecting, but there really isn't anywhere else to do it. I think it's unreasonable to expect little doves to come fly your linens into your capsule tbh. The capsules are literally on... the floor! What do you want? His overall complaint that the space was generally messy was a lot more valid. At this point I had a suspicion that they kind of segregated foreigners from Japanese customers. It's true, that the foreign floor was a bit of a tip - luggage thrown around, empty bottles everywhere, garbage. I went up to the Japanese floors to snoop around a bit. Spotless. (Pictures of both included for comparison) In this case I think the call is coming from inside the capsule, not really fair to hold the staff accountable to your own messy manners. His final gripe was about the showers - specifically the lack of private cubicles. Private cubicles were not advertised anywhere and Japanese onsens are pretty standardly communal spaces, so again I dunno what he wanted. Maybe a shower, with a curtain? Maybe a shower with a door? Maybe a shower with a psychic forcefield that would make his ex girlfriends forget his underwhelming junk and prevent his father from behind disappointed in him? I'm not sure. But I guess the dozen shower stations with soap, shampoo, and face wash weren't cutting it. In fact a lot of the Western guests seemed pretty pranged out by the shower situation, waiting until like two am to wash up and then scurrying around the baths with a hand towel infront of their package like a little purse. If you regret going bald, that's on you. Kinda silly, but if you are bashful maybe this also isn't the hotel for you. Unreasonable though to blame the establishment for you own shame. Anyway, that's all to say the worst part of my stay was for sure the ranting and raving from an unshowered backpacker while I was trying to have a lie in. Otherwise a pretty decent stay.

Disneyland/ Disney sea1 Metro then 1 JR line- about 45 mins
Walking distance from Sensoji temple and Sky Tree. 2 metro line: Ginza and Asakusa line. Asakasa culture and tourist info is like a 2 mins walk if you want to get the metro pass.
No fuss hotel - check in at 3pm and self check out available. Typical Japanese hotel amenities - under bed storage, spacious bath compared to other hotels, room was actually spacious compared to others.

GGuest UserI had a pleasant stay at the 9h nine hours Akasaka. The pods were comfortable and clean and the location was very convenient. However, the common space for eating was really small. The locker space was very crammed. They also won’t store your luggage after you check out so if you’re planning to do something on between the check-out and your flight/train you need to take your luggage outside.

the entire facility was clean! and well taken care off. I stayed here for one night so only had a backpack for a 2-day 1 night trip, the locker can fit my bag perfectly.
The shower rooms were clean. The have like a changing space as well in front of the shower so that mean you dont have to change in front of the lockers for everyone to see. The capsules were futuristic and had cameras sensors to rate your sleep ( I booked this intentionally). If you are not comfortable with having your sleep recorded, you can probably ask for a capsule that does not have the camera.
They provided towels, pyjamas, toothbrush+toothpaste, slippers and a mesh bag. great for light packing!
They also have a lounge area and vending machine on the 9th floor and it was spacious and had a lot of natural lighting.
Check in and check out processes were easy since the staffs were very helpful!
would definitely recommend to friends to stay here and my self will repeat staying here in the future.

I was absolutely charmed by Asakusa Yoshino Hotel on my first stay! It's a mere 5-minute walk to Senso-ji Temple and Kaminarimon, making it incredibly convenient for exploring Nakamise Shopping Street and taking a rickshaw ride. Yet, it's tucked away in an alley, offering surprising peace and quiet. The Japanese tatami room was spotlessly clean and refreshing, with wooden furniture and paper sliding doors. Before bed, sitting cross-legged and gazing at the old streetlights outside the window, felt like stepping back into the Edo period. The owners are a super friendly couple; communication in English was no problem, and they even proactively recommended a fantastic tempura spot nearby. For breakfast, you can choose between a Japanese set meal or a Western-style light breakfast – the miso soup was unbelievably delicious! They even gave us a small souvenir upon check-out, showing incredible attention to detail. For those on a budget who want an authentic Tokyo experience, this place is a no-brainer – the value for money is outstanding!

MM516646****I checked in the night before CM107 Day 2. For just over 100 per night, and with its super convenient location for taking the Seagull to Odaiba (or the Monorail to the airport), the price is definitely unbeatable. The subway Daimon Station is right downstairs, along with convenience stores. Staff service made check-in easy. The bed was quite firm, which I actually found comfortable after not sleeping well on soft beds the previous two nights. There's a light inside the capsule, but only one two-pin socket, which was a bit insufficient.

I don’t usually write bad reviews so I’m a bit afraid. But if the owner have fixed all the problems I experienced then they can reply and new customer can make better informed decision I guess.
There are no lock. So if you are a female traveler that hope to be safe in a female only room, don’t! It’s just a silly clear plastic door that separate the female room from the kitchen. And make the matter worse, the main door was not lock as well….I hope they fix the lock soon. They chose convenient over safety at the moment. Any stranger can barge in.
They have nice kitchen area.
There is one toilet and one bathroom, the toilet is clean. During my stay the guest that already there are very loud even though it’s after 11pm. I think they should stress the rule about noise at late night more.
The location is convenient but it’s in the pub area. And next building is karaoke room. They sang until 5 am. Well, not all have a problem with noise during sleep. So pick your choice.
The bed area in female dormitory is clean. But in terms of privacy and tidiness, no. They should really tidy up the window next to bed No.6 it looks like a refugee camp from what I saw. I didn’t assume all people there are long term stay but I don’t know 🤷♀️
The curtain was put on badly for the upper bed next to window, and it happened to be my bed. I have less privacy than the below bed and bed was made out of cheap metal so they move when the other move, which is fine for me but keep that in mine before you go.
What worst in the bed area is the people that’s already there before me. They have the audacity to open my curtain and peek at me. I think the price attract weird people with no manners (maybe I have no manners too?) 🤷♀️
Any how, what I want to say is:
Perfect area for shopping and find food and very close to the station.
Good kitchen.
Clean toilet.
⚠️No lock, unsafe.
No privacy because poor bunk bed curtains.
🤑And you might be able to find a better hotel with your own tiny room with roughly same price the next day.
