"This was my daughter's first trip to Korea, right after she graduated from high school. The hotel was quick and polite in responding to my email inquiries. We were able to leave our luggage secured in the stairwell (though I was a bit worried leaving it unattended for a while) and head out for sightseeing. The location was super convenient, on the 3rd or 4th floor, roughly across from the Starbucks at the post office. There was a new building under construction right in front of us. When we checked in, a staff member was there to help us with our luggage. On the way out, I had a lot of bags and had to make two trips, which was tough, but it's great that there's a 7-Eleven a few doors down and plenty of other convenience stores, plus it's right off the main street, so no complaints there. I felt safe even coming back late at night. The double-glazed windows kept the outside noise out, but since our room was near the stairwell entrance on the 3rd floor, we could hear other guests locking and unlocking their doors in the hallway, which was a bit bothersome. The shower worked fine without any issues, though the water tended to pool a bit at our feet. It was nice to have shared towels and water available, and the amenities were well-stocked, the hairdryer had good power, and the tea and kettle were appreciated. The refrigerator, however, didn't work; it wouldn't cool anything. I managed by putting ice from 7-Eleven in a cooler bag for yogurt and drinks. We pushed the twin beds together and had a comfortable 'girls' night,' feeling right at home. The price was reasonable, the location was convenient, and there wasn't a large lobby like in bigger hotels, so we could get to our room quickly. The compact layout, with the restroom right nearby, was actually a relief for our tired feet after a lot of walking. There was no room cleaning service. We learned to hang towels in the bathroom to keep the floor from getting wet and uncomfortable. It's also a good idea to put trash bins and slippers outside the room. The self-service check-in/check-out machine was great, allowing us to do it at our own pace. I'd definitely want to stay here again."

"This is my first time encountering a hostel with one-on-one service! The front desk staff, a young man, was absolutely wonderful. He even spoke Chinese! He was so worried I wouldn't find the place that he sent important information three times and then followed up repeatedly. Thanks to all the precise pictures he sent, the location was super easy to find! And what a great location it is! It's right near Hapjeong Station Exit 7, next to Olive Young and Daiso, with lots of street food downstairs! I actually really liked that the other guests were mostly quiet foreign women; there was hardly any noise. I hope everyone remembers to be considerate and not make a lot of noise in the common areas or rooms, so as not to disturb others! Oh, and the free breakfast was fantastic too! I honestly can't believe this price for a place in Seoul, South Korea!"

"Oh my goodness! I was so lucky to choose this hostel. I originally booked a room with two single beds and a private bathroom, but the front desk upgraded me directly to a triple room with one queen bed and one single bed – it was fantastic! It was also very close to the elevator, and there's a luggage scale available in the hallway. Downstairs, there's a huge Olive Young (pharmacy/beauty store), right in the heart of Myeongdong. Across the street, there's a convenience store and the delicious Sinseon Seolleongtang, so everything you need is super convenient. The hostel offers a simple breakfast; personally, I didn't find it particularly delicious, but it was acceptable. You have to wash your own dishes after eating, and the hygiene conditions are excellent. The front desk service was also very enthusiastic and spoke English. I recommend booking two months in advance for more choices and better prices."

"For this price, this guesthouse is an absolute gem. Overall, everything was good: the breakfasts were nice, the location was very convenient, and the view of Namsan was a big plus."

"Oh my god. The room is super small for two people. We can barely place our luggages properly, but still manageable. I love how everything is provided here (hairdryer, bathroom slippers, washing machine, dryer, breakfast, coffee machine, etc). The one thing that i hate the most is the host was unreacheable at all. I emailed them a few weeks before our check-in day, requesting to check in early as we arrived Korea really early, but no response. We also tried to contact them bcs turning on the shower head is quite tricky for us, again no response. We tried to ask where to store our luggage, no response. We gave up by the time we need to ask where the kitchen is. Overall, everything is okay except for the host."

"Stayed here for a few nights in Seoul. Location is the best part — right in Myeongdong, super close to subway, shopping streets, and food stalls. Very convenient especially for first-time visitors. Staff are friendly and helpful, check-in was smooth. Rooms are clean but quite small, so don’t expect a big space if you have large luggage. Bed is okay but a bit firm. Overall it’s a great value-for-money stay if you just need a comfortable place to sleep while exploring Seoul all day"

"This place is a 10-minute walk from Myeongdong, located on a sloped street, surrounded by guesthouses and hostels. The bathroom has the typical Korean setup where the shower head is attached to the sink faucet. Compared to the extremely cramped bathrooms you find in Seoul or Gangnam, this one is actually a bit more spacious. However, you do have to hold the showerhead the entire time, and of course, the toilet seat gets wet. The hot water runs nice and hot, though. The room itself is quite spacious, and the towels were fluffy. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided, and there's a hairdryer in the room, but no other amenities. There was a power strip with Japanese outlets and USB ports, which was very convenient. The kitchen also has a water dispenser. While there wasn't any coffee or tea, they did have instant cup noodles available for when you get a bit peckish."

"The location is in a small street full of busy forklifts, which seems strange at first, but actually the public transport options around are super convenient. The capsule is comfortable and just big enough. Everything feels rather anonymous and there is no staff to greet you most of the time. Bathroom is OK, showers are in the basement and do just what they're supposed to. I'm not sure what the staff is up to in ”The Capsule Research & Development Center” 😜"

"I'd say it was pretty good. I left the concert at Inspire around 9:30 PM, and the homepage said the front desk closed at 10 PM. After a lot of hesitation, I finally mustered the courage to call. My English was a bit broken, but the person on the other end seemed fluent; they just said 'okay' and then promptly hung up. It was hilarious! When I arrived, there was a small note taped to a window on the first floor with self check-in instructions, listing my name and room number. As for the water heater, I'd read reviews saying there was no hot water, but after letting it run for a bit, hot water surprisingly came out! Hot water is to the left, marked with a small red dot. The temperature wasn't as hot as I'd like, but it was definitely better than cold water!!! There were no disposable toothbrushes, but I brought my own. They provided two large bottles of shampoo and shower gel. I had to study the light switch for a while; at first, I didn't understand it and was afraid to press anything randomly. I ended up using Papago to translate it. I didn't encounter any staff during my entire stay, which was perfect for an introvert like me."

"Overall, it was clean and nice! However, since it is a shared space, there were some unavoidable inconveniences, such as noise from a foreign roommate late at night. Other than that, I was satisfied with the cleanliness and facilities, including the showers, restrooms, and shared kitchen. The price was affordable and the facilities were clean, so I think I will stay here again if I visit Seoul again :)"
