"Beautiful peaceful hotel! 15 mins walk to River，mountain, bridge etc. Have 5 private baths which are accessible in 24 hrs，but the public bath super good too. ( both open air and indoor , very clean with sauna) Has salt bath scrub and facial exfoliation products which you can try and buy at the souvenir shop. Has free coffee and matcha latte the whole day. Provides yakult, apple cider and black soy bean tea in specific hours. Has Yukata of different colors to choose. Helpful and knowledgeable staff, particularly Mr Chang, he was patient to answer your questions and helped book taxis if you need to. Lastly to mention is the breakfast, the grilled salmon or other fish has small bones. (Hope hotel can warn the tourists on this.) Big rooms. Suitable for family and solo travellers."

For those reading this, here's a bonus tip: the furisode at the costume shop opposite Yuanshan Park are super cheap, highly recommended!
Finally, it's a shame I still couldn't make it to Kibune-Sanzen (°ー°〃)

"The breakfast was very delicious and had a wide variety of choices. Everything tasted great and I never got bored of it even after a few days. The onsen was also very comfortable and relaxing — it was the perfect way to unwind after a long day. I also really liked the shampoo and bath amenities provided by the hotel; they smelled amazing and made my hair feel very smooth.
Another nice touch was that the hotel provided free laundry washing, although the dryer required a small fee. They also offered free ramen at night, which was a really nice service, but I was too full to try it at the time. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back again!"

"My stay at Nono Hotel Nara was excellent overall. The hotel is right next to JR Nara Station, making it super convenient for getting around. The lobby has an authentic Japanese style, where you need to take off your shoes and they provide clean socks, which adds a nice touch to the experience. Although the room wasn't huge, it was well-designed, clean, and tidy, with a comfortable bed. The biggest highlight was the natural hot spring on the first floor, featuring both indoor and outdoor pools. After a soak, you can even enjoy free ramen and ice cream! Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices and tasted great. The only minor downside is that being close to the station, you might hear some train noise early in the morning. All in all, it's great value for money and highly recommended for anyone visiting Nara."

"My dad took the kids here and raved about it! He said it was super clean, the garden design was beautiful, and the breakfast buffet was great. You have to change into slippers and socks when you enter, and they provide yukatas. You can even choose your own pillow! They have both public and private hot springs. We didn't have to wait long for the private one, and after your soak, you get free ice cream. They even offer complimentary noodles for a late-night snack. The location is really convenient too."

"The hotel boasts an excellent location, just about a ten-minute walk from JR Kyoto Station and a mere five minutes from Aeon Mall, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel, and subway and Kintetsu stations are also nearby. The hotel breakfast is also great, offering a good variety of both Japanese and Western options, and the service is very attentive. The public bath, however, is quite small. I was hoping to soak there every evening to relax, but on my second night, I encountered someone bizarrely scrubbing their feet and legs in the pool! I was so disgusted I immediately fled and never went back. Luckily, there's a bathtub in the room, so I ended up using that instead. Overall, the hotel offers great value for money, and I'm very satisfied! 🈵"

"As is common for Japan, the rooms are quite compact, but this hotel boasts excellent facilities. They provide Pola brand toiletries, and everything felt spotlessly clean. The public bath was also immaculately maintained. The staff were professional and courteous. Its location is a major plus, offering a very convenient walk to Kyoto Station. While the price might be a bit higher, it's absolutely justifiable for the quality and convenience offered."

"What a pleasant surprise this hotel was! The attention to detail is truly exceptional, and the service is incredibly warm and welcoming. The hotel's cleanliness is impeccable. They also have a rooftop open-air bar where you can soak your feet while enjoying the scenery and a drink – it's absolutely wonderful, especially in the dead of winter. Plus, there's an outdoor hot spring, which is very clean and offers great views. They provide complimentary coffee, matcha, hot chocolate, sparkling drinks, and cold beverages, all available for unlimited consumption every day. I highly recommend the hot chocolate with ice cubes; it's so rich and delicious.
The hotel's location is superb. Takashimaya is right outside, and there are tons of great restaurants nearby. It's also very close to all the major attractions.
Aside from the room being a bit small, everything else was absolutely perfect. I'll definitely choose to stay here again whenever I visit Kyoto."

"The room facilities were excellent and very clean, and they even offered a welcome service. There's a FamilyMart just 70 meters from the room, which was super convenient for late-night snacks. The set breakfast was also delicious. However, the reception was a bit hard to find and had limited hours (10:00-20:00). We wanted to store our luggage after self-check-out at 10:00 AM, but the reception wasn't open. We waited for a long time with no one responding, so we ended up having to store our bags at the train station. This was a really bad experience for us."

The hotel room is very large, and the price includes breakfast and dinner. You can see the pictures. The taste is very delicious and the portion is super large. You can eat as much as you want! The taste and product are no less than Michelin restaurants.
The hotel is very clean and has built-in and external hot springs. It is quiet and comfortable. The boss's family will drive us to the mountain. There are very few rooms in the hotel. It is operated by the boss's family. The boss is very kind to help us move our luggage to the second floor, and all the dishes are made by him. After breakfast the next morning, he packed a large bread with his own jam and brought it to us on the road. It is really touching to feel such food, service, accommodation, and human warmth in Japan!
It is recommended that you spend 1-2 nights in Kyoto to experience it. Be careful to eat less when you go, because you will really eat too much!

To improve: Have more hooks/space to hang clothes will be even better. Bed is too soft to our likings. We didn't use the chair in the shower area too..

GGuest UserWe took a taxi to this location because it was a little too far by bus, and we had all of our luggage with us. The location is beautiful. If you're only staying for one night like we did, then you should check in at the earliest (3:00 pm) so you can explore the local area. There are some really nice shrines nearby. We were only able to do this after breakfast the next morning. We also had to be out by 10:00 am, which surprised us because it was listed as 11:00 am on Trip.com. You will be served traditional Japanese cuisine for dinner and breakfast. They do an excellent job of presenting all of the dishes, and the service is also incredible. But if you're not used to eating raw fish, or traditional Japanese cuisine in general, you should definitely bring your own snacks to eat in your room! We stayed in the Garden view room with tatami mats. The staff will actually rearrange the room for you during dinner and set up your beds if you select this room. That was a very nice touch, so make sure you don't leave your room a total mess before dinner! I have added a picture of the beds after they were set up. The garden view was well worth the money we spent for it. Very relaxing and beautiful. And surprisingly enough...the tatami beds were super comfortable and warm!

MMumutu0417My Kyoto trip was particularly satisfying with this Kyoto townhouse. It had a garden, a private hot spring bath, and was brimming with Japanese charm. The breakfasts were especially delightful, with a wide variety and different dishes each day. After breakfast, there was also a traditional Kyoto matcha and carefully selected sweets; the owner even patiently explained the proper way to drink the matcha.
It's a bit far from the subway, but there are several bus stops nearby, making it quite convenient. Strolling along Kyoto's charming streets and discovering hidden gems of little shops was also a delightful experience.

VVioletaThis was an absolutely amazing place, very well located and it has a lot of included services. The only thing that disappointed me a little bit was that men and women have different times for the onsen, and men get the whole night (from 23 to 7am). It would be more fair if the schedules alternated. But overall it was still amazing and they deserve 5 stars

DDreamscomeTrueVery nice ambience and a new luxurious hotel in Kyoto close to the 清水寺。 Restaurant choices are quite limited inside the hotel complex but they have got a great spa with excellent service staff. Down the hill should be some international restaurants at Park Hyatt Kyoto another luxurious five star hotel. Breakfast bento boxes not too appetising and not much food selections for in room dining as well. But the neighbourhood was quiet and nice.

CCLHChanThe hotel is nested in a quiet corner, within walking distance of Sagaogurayama Tabuchiyamacho. Im however a bit disappointed with the limited facilites it offered when compared to the price we paid.
We stayed in the Tsukinone Twin Room which is on the third floor of the building. The view is pleasant. The room is of decent size. Yet there were no public onsens. We need to pay YEN5000 for 45 minutes and there are only 2 private onsens.
For more luxurious rooms with private onsen, the one I visited was on the ground level with no views as it were by the pathway to the reception , separated by wooden planks.
We paid around Yen5000 for the breakfast in the hotel, Both western and japanese breakfasts were offered. We tried both. It is of standard. The 4 different juices presented on the top of the bento box was impressive.
The vaccinity is pleasant. We could walk to the train station, the tourist rown area , the nearby parks and the world heritage sites. Nice area .

AAnonymous UserWonderful stay, the design/interior is confortable, breakfast is great, service is very good. The spa was also nice with the thermal bath. We really enjoyed also the shower in the bathroom. Japanese breakfast was also nice.
Overall a good experience, we had a room facing the street which was not ideal, I would recommend to book a room facing the garden or the castle.

OOliaaaWe’ve had the best stay at Ryokan Hirashin!
The room was very clean, the size amazingly big, futons very comfortable, there was a big pot that always holds hot temperature. The staff very friendly and welcoming. Onsen was amazing, too.
The location is just perfect! It’s 2 stops from Kyoto station and so close to Nishiki market and then also Gion district, plus very convenient if you’re a nighttime lover cuz you can just walk back home. It takes kinda same time to go to other further places like Fushimi Inari or Arashiyama, as it’s located kinda in the middle of them all.
I’d say the pictures don’t really give you the vibe, it feels much better when you’re in there.
To sum up, it’s a traditional looking ryokan room but in the hotel building, which in convenient cuz you don’t need to be too quiet as in more traditional ones.
I highly highly highly recommend this place, we’ve really had the best time here!

DDmitry NateWe stayed at this guest house in early March. We were delighted! The guest house is located near the bus stop, you can walk and enjoy the views of the village. There is also a transfer. The dinner was simply gorgeous, delicious miso, a large selection of vegetables and broths. Breakfast was also good, although not so varied. Very beautiful garden. The guest house itself is in a traditional style 😍 the owner gave us instructions and a tour, was very polite and friendly. The guest house has some rules, for example, keeping quiet, which creates an atmosphere of complete relaxation. The room itself is clean, the bed linen is fresh, there are instructions on how to lay out the futon. We were given yukatas and warm sweaters, towels and accessories for washing and brushing teeth. There are hair dryers too. There are two onsen, male and female, they alternate to visit each. When we were there, the onsen opened on schedule, but there is enough time to stay. The barrel with hot water is simply gorgeous, in the open air, around the forest. It is forbidden to take photos and videos on the onsen territory. Sorry for breaking the rules, but I wanted to capture this beauty at a time when no one was there. The only thing I missed was some kind of bench next to the onsen in the open air so that you could cool off and sit in the hot water again. But this is probably a purely Russian habit.
We were very pleased with our stay in this guest house.
