"I really liked the hotel. The room was decorated in a traditional Japanese style. Shops, transportation, and attractions were all within walking distance. This made getting around very simple and added a lot of value to the overall experience. That said, there were a few minor areas that could be improved. At times, service could be slightly slow during busy hours, and a few small details in the room showed slight wear. However, these issues were not major and did not significantly affect my stay. Overall, this hotel offers great value for money and provides a comfortable and enjoyable experience. It may not be perfect, but it certainly meets the expectations of a 4-star hotel. I would happily recommend it to others and would consider staying here again in the future"

"IKOI-NO-IE is a budget guesthouse in a traditional Japanese style, featuring tatami mats and futons, located in a quiet area near Gojo Station and a 15-minute walk from Kyoto Station. Pros: authentic atmosphere, cleanliness, friendly staff. Cons: thin walls and poor soundproofing, firm futons, check-in at a different building, paid luggage storage on check-out day. Suitable for undemanding travelers and those who appreciate authenticity for 1-2 nights."

"A cozy renovated house in the center of Kyoto, located in a quiet neighborhood with old streets and temples. The room was quite large and spacious, featuring a table, a mirror, a sofa, and excellent, comfortable futons. We slept so well, and the room quickly warmed up with the air conditioner. For convenience, there's a shared toilet on the same floor as the room, serving two rooms. The rooms are on the second floor, while the first floor has a bathroom with a tub and a kitchen where you can not only heat food but even cook, as it has everything you need: a stove, cutlery, dishes, and a large refrigerator. The stairs to the second floor are quite steep, but that didn't bother us since we only had backpacks."

"Literally the best hotel I have ever stayed in! I have traveled around the world and this was the cleanest place I have ever stayed, I was shocked at how well organized and clean it was! The bathrooms were shared but spotless. The staff were also very nice! I could not have had a better experience, I will definitely come back here if I come back to Kyoto."

"A place that you can’t rest and sleep in peace. You can actually hear guests in the other rooms sneeze, their snores and EVERY STEP of their movements! The residential neighbourhood is dark and quiet BUT the walls and floors of the guest house is very thin. You can’t sleep in the night and in the day, house rules say you can’t stay to rest in your room. Amenities is a ONE because basic need of rest was not met. Only a quaint place to visit and shower.Not for overnight stay."

"環境安靜清幽，櫃檯可以用中文溝通，可以提前寄放行李，夜晚大門有自動門鎖保證房客安全 每間房間都有獨立的門鎖，並且經常更換密碼，對獨旅的人來說很有安全感 整體乾淨衛生，並且床很柔軟、很好睡 我的房間裡有微波爐可以使用，如果帶宵夜回來也很方便 而且這樣的價位可以訂到有榻榻米的房型很划算！一整天在外面玩累了帶點食物回來，坐在榻榻米上一邊吃一邊享受日本風情，我覺得非常棒！ 可能有些人會在意的部分：飯店距離河原町商微有點距離，也沒有緊鄰外面的大馬路，所以會需要走個二十分鐘左右才抵達河原町商圈 但也因為如此才能擁有安靜不被打擾的地理條件，我認為這是更重要的"

"Very nice Japanese-style homestay. The subway station is right next to it, and it is very convenient to go to Kyoto. It is really convenient. Washing is on the first floor, but it does not hinder accommodation. The front desk lady is very good. Stay here next time in Kyoto."

"Located in a convenient location, very well-kept and comfortable with cozy ryokan ambience. However, the front desk took a while to respond to messages and tall people may find the height of the room too low and hard to walk around much in. Overall, highly recommended if you’re okay with those two negative points!"
