"We are European tourists and already travelling for more than 50 days in the south part of China. Well, of all the good hotels or homestays we have been, this was the first time that we had a front desk person (Sherry) that spoke good English!!! Arrived at the busstation of Danba, we felt a bit lost and so we decided to phone the homestay knowing already that it would be useless as nobody would speak English... and big surprise!!! The woman answered in good English!!! WOW. She immediately organized a taxi to pick us up. When we arrived the staff took our luggage out of the taxi and took it up the stairs to our room. The homestay was very cosy with an stunning view (not far from viewpoint n.1 but with a much better completely amazing view). The rooms had outside on the balcony a table and a cosy sofa seating corner, protected from sun and rain where you could have soothe calm time while enjoying the beautiful sight; you see the whole mountainside and even the river! As Sherry travels a lot herself, she really knows what are the needs for her customers. She was so helpful with everything for us and she gave us much useful information for our next long itinerary. In the open lobby outside (a nice terras with a roof), there are several maps and we even changed our future route. Sitting on the sofas at the terras, the reception girls offered us tea and cookies and we even had a nice chat with English speaking people from Macao. 😊 The rooms, bed and bathroom are confortable and top clean with AC. As of the normal soap, shampoo and hairconditioner there was even bodylotion and disinfectant spray. There are 3 washing machines and a big place to dry your laundry. Just nearby there is a good restaurant and a little shop. In the night there is no noise. As Sherry was so kind, interesting and helpful, we even invited her to France. Hopefully we can see one day again! My husband and me were so happy to have chosen this homestay!"

"It was a rather unexpected B&B. The owner directly upgraded the room to a starry sky terrace room. The boss is simple and honest. Since it is the off-season and there is only our family there, he said the place is empty anyway. The location is excellent, overlooking the entire ******* village, the yard is full of flowers, and parking is available. There are also a few cats, very cute"

"I was blown away by the beauty of the guesthouse! Unfortunately, I couldn't stay longer due to my busy schedule. The staff were very friendly and patiently explained the room's facilities. Taking photos of the surroundings in the morning is also highly recommended. See the pictures for yourself!"

"It’s really a great hostel with stunning scenery. The breakfast is nice too! It’s a bit pity that we reached the hostel very late and had to leave in the early morning. It will be great to spend more time there to enjoy and relax, as well as to explore the area in order to better understand the culture of the *******."

"This stay deserves full marks! As soon as I arrived at the hotel, the staff proactively greeted me and helped with my luggage, and even kindly pointed me to the parking spot. The dedicated parking space was spacious and easy to park in, which is so convenient for tourists traveling by car. Check-in was incredibly efficient; the receptionist provided smiling service throughout, patiently answering my questions about nearby attractions and even thoughtfully providing a local tourist brochure. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the facilities were complete. It was so quiet at night that I couldn't hear any outside noise at all, and I slept soundly until I naturally woke up. The breakfast the next day was plentiful, with both Chinese and Western dishes, and the taste was excellent. When I checked out, the staff even proactively asked about my stay; this thoughtfulness is truly rare. Next time I travel to Danba, I will definitely stay at the Jimei Hotel again!"

"We stayed for two nights and the view from the room is stunning. The tibetan-styled decoration is amazing and makes all the difference, but there were also a few downsides which I have to mention. - For someone that does not speak Chinese, it is very hard to find. So we will write here how we did: from Tagong we took a shared vehicle to Bamei. From there, we took another shared vechicle to Danba, and from Danba, there are rural shared vehicles that will take you to Jiaju. I attach the image of the road sign where you need to get off. There is an entry fee to Jiaju town. - Regarding this rural vehicle, comes the biggest disappointment of our stay, as we asked the owner of the hotel to call a vehicle for us (there is no other way to leave) and he replied “you can look for yourself and if you cannot find one, I will help you”… without a Chinese phone number and without speaking Chinese, it is impossible to call a local driver. So we mentioned this, and he called one driver. When we asked how much we should pay, he say 50 yuan for two people, same as he told us to pay on the way here, but his wife was there and got very angry at him because the real price was 15 yuan per person, and he was part of the rip off. The lady was very friendly and helpful, on the other side, so we want to thank her for her help as she tried to help us. Despite this, we still reccommend you to come as it is a beautiful place and there are walking paths that you can use to walk everywhere in town. The shared toilet was not a problem, hot water works well."

"I didn't expect guesthouses to be this good nowadays! A day before arrival, the front desk attendant messaged me on WeChat, sending directions, hotel facility introductions, and more. When checking in, she even upgraded us to a room with a view. The room was spacious and bright, meticulously clean in every corner, and came with plenty of complimentary snacks, pastries, and drinks. The hotel uncle was very kind and helped us with our luggage. Since it's a cliffside hotel, the access road is a bit tricky to drive, so the uncle even helped us drive out the next day. All the staff at the hotel were very enthusiastic. We had dinner at the hotel's restaurant; the dishes were fresh and delicious. Although the hotel breakfast wasn't extensive, the chef's rice noodles were absolutely amazing, and the small beef buns were delightful. The hotel's public areas are excellent. From the terrace, you can capture beautiful photos of the ******* village, and the view is much better than from the public observation deck. This guesthouse was definitely the highlight of our trip to Danba."

"Who knows! I lived in the dream room in Danba The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows are really amazing. When you open the curtains in the morning, you will see the green mountains and the distant mountain scenery. It looks like you have lived in a landscape painting! The room looks better than the photo, the log wind decoration is clean and comfortable, the bedding is soft, and even the bathrobes are very textured. Sitting on the sofa during the day and watching the mountain view in a daze, quiet at night, sleeping very soundly. The boss is also super caring, friends who come to Danba close their eyes and rush to this house!"

"The host and his family were incredibly kind. They helped us carry our car full of luggage upstairs. They're pet-friendly; we brought our cat with us for free, and the hostess looked at it lovingly. The hostess's dog wasn't shy at all, even lying on the floor with its belly exposed. The room was spotless; the mother wiped the floor with a tissue, leaving no dirt. What a kind family! I wish you all the best!"

"I didn't have high hopes for the accommodations on my trip to Danba, but ”Yun Su · Silent Mountain Forest” truly amazed me. The place I booked is newly opened in 2026, and the decor is really new. Most importantly, the rooms are incredibly spacious! They're not cramped rooms, but rather have a large, open-plan feel. The guesthouse has a private courtyard, where you can sit and enjoy the breeze and stargazing in the quiet of the evening. What surprised me most was the facilities. I didn't expect to find an elevator in the mountains, which saved me a lot of trouble dragging my suitcase. There was also hot water in the shower—the water pressure was huge and it heated up instantly, which was so important after a long day of travel. The location is within the scenic area, surrounded by mountains, offering excellent views. Importantly, the altitude isn't high. I usually get a headache when I go to high altitudes, but I slept incredibly well here, probably because of the abundant oxygen. Both of us slept soundly until dawn. Finally, I must praise the service. We were delayed on the road and didn't arrive until after 11 pm. We thought we'd have to check in by ourselves, but as soon as we entered the courtyard, the receptionist came out to greet us with a smile. That feeling of being waited for was so heartwarming and instantly relieved our fatigue. If you don't want to stay in those old-fashioned ******* villages and want something more comfortable, this place is definitely worth checking out."
