Really enjoyed our stay here. The place was clean, cozy, and the staff were very accommodating from check-in until checkout. They even offered complimentary coffee and tea upon arrival which was such a nice touch. What made our stay extra special was how they surprised our son with a birthday cake and restaurant credit for his birthday. Super thoughtful and truly appreciated. Thank you for making our stay memorable

Our stay at Caribou Lodge was perfect! Exactly what we were expecting. The proximity to downtown is great - 10 minute walk or you could take the ROAM bus straight downtown. The hotel has character and we had the perfect stay. All staff was super friendly and inviting. The front desk employee was super helpful and explained our ROAM passes and the other amenities perfectly. Loved that Rocky Mountain Soap Co was in all the bathrooms, too! All in all, a great experience for a great price and I would highly recommend it. 

The RCL was a complete surprise to me the junior suite was recently updated and was amazing, so much space with a great fireplace, large comfortable bed, attractive furnishings, coffee, fridge, ironing board, lovely robes and a swimming pool and steam room with little gym plus free apples and flavoured water in reception, would definitely stay again. Plus the only downside was the underground parking which costs $20 per night

Actually, living here is a great choice if your roommates are nice and don't snore. There's a bus stop right outside and a bar inside, so you don't have to worry about being bored at night or having to walk a long way back from the city late. The only downside is that my iPhone 16 Pro couldn't connect to their Wi-Fi. I kept getting blocked by privacy issues. Although I have my own unlimited data plan, the signal here is generally bad, so that's the only thing to be aware of, depending on whether you care.

We stayed here for 2 nights during our trip to Banff. It's located right on the main street. While it's a bit of a walk to the areas with more shops and restaurants, there's a bus stop very close by, so we just used the local shuttle bus for shopping and dining and didn't find it inconvenient at all. They even provided free shuttle bus tickets. It was also really convenient that the Calgary airport shuttle and various tours could be boarded and disembarked near the hotel. The room, although a bit older, was clean and even had a hot tub, which was perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. We opted out of breakfast this time, but they gave us tickets to purchase breakfast for $15.

The room comes with a kitchen, both of which were very clean. The kitchen was equipped with basic dish soap, dishcloths, plates, pots, and salt, but no cooking oil. The room itself was spacious and quite clean, and the water pressure and heat were excellent. Like many hotels in Canada, the room lighting was a bit dim, but the kitchen and bathroom lighting were bright. A bus stop to Banff town is conveniently located right outside the hotel, just three stops away. The hotel provides a complimentary transit pass, making it very easy to get around without a car. I would recommend this place to friends. A tip for Banff: the local buses don't accept credit cards and drivers don't give change. Each ticket costs $2, so be sure to have exact change.

We did a little staycation in Banff from Calgary and overall had a great time. The cave pool was a big hit, but just a heads up that it’s not really a “swimming pool.” It’s more like a large cave-style hot tub. It’s shallow, and the water is fairly hot, so the kids couldn’t really swim or put their faces under the water. The cave setup is very cool though, and the adults really enjoyed it for relaxing. The dry sauna was also great. We stayed in a suite with two double beds, plus a living area with a sofa bed, a dining area, and a kitchenette. We were happy with the layout. The suite was clean, but it is definitely dated. One downside was the TVs. I know you don’t go to Banff to sit and watch TV, but it would be nice if they updated to smart TVs. If you’re traveling with kids, I’d suggest bringing a Fire Stick or Chromecast. Even an HDMI cable to connect a laptop would work, but make sure you download movies ahead of time because the Wi-Fi in our area was pretty spotty and the kids kept losing connection. The front desk staff were fantastic. Friendly, helpful, and efficient. They made parking easy, provided bus passes, and explained local info without us having to ask a bunch of questions. We’d stay here again, and next time we’ll definitely bring something for the TV so we can do an easy movie night after a busy day.

No free breakfast, but they do have a hot tub and a sauna which is nice. For peak season, the value for money isn't great, but the location is pretty good, about a five-minute walk to the Banff info center. There's free parking, but no EV charging stations. They have a laundry room, but the machines are older, not free, and cost three dollars per wash. Plus, the dryer needs two cycles to get clothes dry, so it's not really worth spending the money to do laundry.

I originally wanted to book a hotel in Lake Louise, about a 30-minute drive away, but I could only get two nights out of three there, so I ended up booking one night here. The location is quite convenient, just a few minutes walk from the main street, and parking is easy. However, the room facilities were really poor. The room was tiny, and the dark gray duvet made me wonder if it was clean or not. Foreigners don't use duvet covers; they just put a sheet between you and the duvet insert. I kept worrying about touching the duvet insert in my sleep. The pillows were square cushion inserts, uneven and lumpy, and I had no idea what was inside them. Sigh, and it cost over 3000!

Banff's beauty really overshadows any flaws this hotel might have. Its advantages are clear: it's super close to the main street, has a balcony where you can get some fresh air, and I even saw a squirrel! There's a cafe right outside with delicious croissants. The microwave in the room was a pleasant surprise; it was great to be able to heat up some food. All in all, besides being a bit pricey during the summer holidays, everything else was perfect.
