"The hotel lobby seems to have been renovated; it's quite grand. The elevators were also undergoing renovation during our stay. The room facilities definitely show their age, but overall it was clean and tidy, though the mini-fridge made some noise at night. We asked the front desk for a quiet room and surprisingly got a two-room suite, which was a pleasant surprise! The breakfast was really plentiful and excellent."

"The choice fell on Ali, who was more or less suited to us. We arrived at the place and thought that the hotel 😅 would be a hotel, and this was the type of apartments-hotel in the residential housing. No free entry to the territory, only through the magnetic key (the people who let us go). Furthermore, they got clear, went into the entrance, went up to the floor. Respeptation is not there. Called on the hotel number, said that we would come to us now. We were met by a nice little boy(as understood, helps the dad): he set us up, all told, all told and left. The room is good, the same as in the photo: beautiful fresh repair, heating worked (was warm), wi-fi, wide three single beds, TV, slippers, toilet room with shower and bathing facilities (the sewing set would still be, it would be great at all). There is a laundry machine in the general corridor, where you can wash clothes and electric teapot. There is not enough microwave (it would be, by the way). Overall, everything was nice: it was quiet and quiet to sleep. But there were some unusual details for us: the mattress at the beds was very thin and solid, as if wooden, uncomfortable to sleep, completely to other mattresses used 😔a also the TV was completely in Chinese.. Even reconfiguring it to English didn't work, let alone Russian. Called the host, said that the TV was only Chinese and he himself doesn't know how to reconfigure it, said, don't touch, it's broken. "Fantastic stay! We will be back for 5 days next year.
We stayed for 1 night and 1 day, and everything was much better than we expected. The resort is beautiful and very clean.
What we loved:
The Room: We stayed in the purple chalet. It was very cozy, warm, and had a great mountain view.
The Staff: The service was excellent. The staff speaks very good English and they were so helpful with our questions.
Skiing: We had a great time on the slopes! The equipment and the snow were perfect.
Our Plan:
One day was too short. We liked it so much that we are planning to come back next year in the Autumn season for a longer stay of 3–5 nights to see the colors of the trees.
Bottom Line: Highly recommended for families and international travelers. Thank you!"

AAxinxinxiniiiIt was my first time staying here. I saw that the ratings online were pretty good, so I decided to try it out. It was worth the trip! !
As soon as I got off the bus, I didn’t know how to get to the hotel because I couldn’t speak the language, so I contacted the owner of the B&B! He helped us get a taxi back to the B&B. The location of the B&B is quite close to the places we want to visit. Because we couldn’t register for the taxi app here, the owner helped us! ! !
For dinner in the evening, the owner took a taxi to and from us, and recommended us very delicious food🫶🏻
Shoulder all requests, super enthusiastic～～The room is clean and comfortable, and the bed in the room is very good. You can pet cats in the yard! There are also cherries to eat～
The place to live is very safe, with an independent yard, a gym, and a kitchen, so you can cook for yourself

SS. KhinI ended up booking this hotel twice — once when I first landed in Almaty, and again on my last night before flying out. By sheer coincidence (or fate), I got the same room both times — Room 4, Level 2. Let’s just say it made for an interesting little case study in hotel consistency.
Location & Check-in
The hotel sits at the upper end of the city, which every driver reminded me means one thing: traffic. Peak hours are not for the faint-hearted. That said, it’s in a great spot — plenty of restaurants and cafés within walking distance if you don’t feel like dining at the hotel lounge. Check-in was quick and painless both times, which is exactly what you want after a flight.
First Stay: A Promising Start
The room was spacious and clean — always a good first impression. The bathroom was equally generous in size, and I have to say, the water pressure was chef’s kiss. However, someone clearly had a sense of humor when placing the towel hooks. Let’s just say retrieving your towel without soaking the floor required both flexibility and strategy.
The bathtub, while sparkling clean, was a bit slippery — not ideal if you’re older or have the balance of a baby giraffe (I’m neither, but I notice these things).
As for the TV, I didn’t even bother. Every time I stay somewhere new, there’s always a “connect to network, sign in, press this obscure button” saga. Sorry, I’m on holiday, not conducting a tech experiment.
The aircon, on the other hand, was a bit of a mystery. I spent a good five minutes waving the remote like a magic wand before realizing the elegant “picture frame” on the wall was the air conditioner. Once identified, it worked beautifully.
Breakfast was à la carte, mostly Western-style, and a nice start to the morning before heading out.
Second Stay: The Blanket Chronicles
Fast forward to my last night in Almaty. Same room, same setup — but this time, the blanket seemed… smaller? Either it shrunk, or the hotel decided I looked short enough not to need a full-sized comforter. I could only stay covered if I curled up like a prawn.
Then the aircon decided to add some drama. It kept turning off every 20 seconds. I swapped batteries, called the front desk, and even briefly wondered if I had a ghostly roommate. Nothing worked. Eventually, I gave up and accepted my warm fate.
Final Thoughts
Would I stay here again? Probably yes. The room was comfortable, the service friendly, and when everything worked, it was genuinely a pleasant stay. Sure, there were some quirks — but that’s what gives travel its stories, isn’t it?

GGuest UserEverything was great until the day we checked out. Our flight was at night, so I asked to extend our room until 6 PM. However, since there were no available rooms, they declined. 'No big deal,' I naively thought, assuming I could relax with my child by the pool or in the play area. In the end, they wouldn't let us into the spa zone because our room had already been handed over. We went to the playroom, but there was a child there with what looked like symptoms of rotavirus, and for some reason, the doctor was called to the playroom instead of their room. The child was crying, taking medication, and continued to stay in the playroom. When I asked why, they said he just had a stomach ache that morning. We left there. Now we're just wandering around the hotel grounds like strays.

EEza FaizalWe had great time at Tenir Eco. At first, im a bit worried as im unsure how to go up and bring luggages direct from airport since we arrived direct from istanbul trip. But actually its quite easy. The hotel arranged to bring luggages up to hotel with payment of 5000 tenge(from shymbulak station to hotel reception). U have a choice to bring it yourslef but mind you that it is quite slippery from combi 2 to reception. So if u want to enjoy the moment just ask the hotel to bring the luggage for u.
The hotel will give QR code for cable car ride from Medeu station to combi 1-combi 2 and back down. If u want more can ask them to buy for you. Around 4000 tenge.
The hospitality is amazing , they provided all the necessity. And fast action too. They fixed the netflix so we could enjoy our 2nights stay. And although -12celcius was a challenge but the room got quite nice heat ‘ and u can always heat urself in the bathroom sauna, even the floor was heated. So we never feel tortured with the weather.
Bring some food for dinner if u dont want to spend time going down too much. And u can heat it in sauna as well🙈. Host (ingkar) was a very nice person. He gave us two nice cheesecakes since netflix took time to be fixed.
We stayed in Room Tenir 10 which was the last end room with nice romantic vibe and view. There’s night skiing and the skiers sometimes stop and wave to us while we watch them pass by. We also hike to nearby mountain and enjoy the scenery. It is super cold during winter and like a dream come true stay for us.
As per going back you can request them to bring down luggage as well with same 5000 tenge tilk symbulak station. The food at syn32 also yummy n good. Go try the blueberry mint tea with mountain view. Its amazing. U can ski in ski out from the room itself. Sunset is perfect as well. I will return again in future. Perfect stay in Shymbulak 3200m…. Never regret it.
And may try the paragliding as well. Looks fun too!

GGuest UserI really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The service was excellent, both at the front desk and during breakfast. Housekeeping was fantastic; they consistently replenished slippers and dental amenities. Since I was traveling alone, they provided two bottles of fresh water daily. A bathrobe was also included.
Breakfast offered a good variety, and everything was delicious. They even had national sweets, which was a nice touch.
I tried the spa and jacuzzi. Overall, it was okay, but the jacuzzi water was heavily chlorinated, leaving my hands very dry afterward. There was no hand cream in the room, which would have been a great addition.
While the hotel isn't right in the city center, the location is still convenient. It's a 10-minute walk to the metro station, and Arbat Street, a popular pedestrian street, is nearby.

Cleanliness: Pretty good. I had lower expectations after reading reviews for other hotels, so it was actually fine.
Service: Decent.
Overall, it's a good 4-star hotel, and it even has a pool (though I didn't use it). The breakfast was just okay, but that might be typical for the local area. It's also very close to the subway.

DDarling0704We stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days. Staffs are excellent, considerate and helpful.
Breakfast is served from 7-10am and they prepared a packed for each of us as we left the hotel at 5am for the tour.
After check out, the receptionist was so kind to book a taxi for us going to the airport.
The hotel is a nice place to stay and it's nearby Ascencion Cathedral, Green Bazaar and Rakhat. Walking distance to Starbucks and Navat as well.

AAnonymous UserMy initial check-in left me a bit disappointed. The standard room was quite small, and the corridors were narrow. The facilities also felt a bit old-fashioned, and the bathroom fan was quite loud.
However, after staying for three days, I really grew to love this small hotel.
Even though the facilities are older, they are meticulously maintained and spotlessly clean. It felt charming and cozy, and the hallways always smelled lovely.
There were plenty of hair dryers, and the hot water pressure was excellent. It was my first time experiencing a heating pipe that worked in conjunction with the shower's hot water supply – quite ingenious.
While breakfast wasn't on par with larger hotels, it was varied and delicious. There were even slight changes each day. I tried all the desserts and they were all very tasty. The coffee was a bit weak, but the tea was quite strong. With cinnamon powder, chocolate powder, and milk, I made my own milk tea.
I had planned to try the complimentary one-hour sauna for guests, but my husband said there was no lock, which was a shame. So I didn't dare to try it.
On a side note, the hotel's dinner was also delicious. The horse meat noodles and the soup were both excellent. If you don't feel like going out to find food, you can definitely eat right at the hotel.

IIreneaileenliThe hotel is quite close to the airport, but still takes around 15 mins by taxi. Close to a shopping mall and bus stop. There are hostel rooms and the issue with the hostel is there's only one key for the dorm's door. And the shower booth has no lock, it's only a glass door, so each time someone showers they most likely would lock the main door and so no one can use the toilets at the same time. There's a microwave and a fridge. Breakfast is included and it's generous enough for this price. If you want to experience a more local area then I'd recommend it. Otherwise might as well stay in the city centre since the taxi ride would cost more or less the same time and money to and from the airport.
