"The inn is located on the outer ring of the village, where there are less tourists. There is loud music from a nearby bar, but that stops by 11pm. The wooden interior of the room gives it a fragrant smell, which I liked very much. Together with the sound of the river outside, this made me sleep very soundly :) The owner is very helpful too."

"Ambience: The room window overlooks a beautiful rice paddy field. The location is quiet at the end of the village, making it convenient for visiting Tang'an. Cleanliness: Clean, no odors. Service: Excellent. The included shuttle service is extremely convenient. Before your arrival, the customer service will provide recommendations for local food and attractions, as well as some travel tips. The breakfast is good, and the coffee is delicious. The first load of minibar items is free. It's a perfect place to relax and unwind; it's very relaxing."

"Environment: The environment is very nice. I booked a suite, and the room is shown in the actual photos. The view from the window is of the terraced fields. The hotel's location is quite close to the bus station for Tang'an Terraces, and a few hundred meters ahead is the Dong village's commercial street. The distance is neither too far nor too close, which is convenient for eating, drinking, entertainment, and shopping, and avoids the fumes, noise, and crowds of the commercial street. The hotel sign is easily visible from afar. Cleanliness: The cleanliness is good. The room had disposable toiletries and bottled water. Facilities: There's a simple restaurant, and a coffee shop on the first floor with a bar and view. Each guest receives a complimentary coffee upon check-in, but we didn't use it because we were busy sightseeing. Service: The service is excellent. They promptly replenished anything needed in the room. The hotel also provides a free shuttle service from the high-speed rail station to the hotel and from the Dong village to the high-speed rail station. Luggage can be stored in the lobby upon check-out, and someone will bring it to you from the station at the agreed time. You don't need to drag your luggage yourself; the service is truly excellent!"

"Cons: - stained towels and bed linen (I wouldn't care, but this hotel is 4 times more expensive than cheap hostels I usually stay in China, so I expect more) - I found a big spider the size of a hand in my room (but to be honest: I don't blame the owners for that because the spider could just come from the window, so it's not their fault) - the staff doesn't speak English Pros: - It is the cheapest hotel with license to give an accommodation for foreigners in Zhaoxing. - The receptionist came to my room immediately after my call in his free time and killed that spider I was talking about above. He is my hero! :) - Apart of stained towels and bed linen the room was cleaner than other rooms in other hostels I stayed in China. - The hotel has a good location just next to the town's gate. - I have got a bottle of water for free and all toiletries."

"This guesthouse by the river in Zhaoxing Dong Village is amazing! Open the window and you see the flowing water, falling asleep to the sound of the stream – it really captures the essence of the Dong village. "房間非常滿意，一起來就可以看到綠油油的稻田，房間非常乾淨，乾濕分離，離主路不遠，不在主路上又不會嘈雜，非常安靜，媽媽住過很多民宿，就對這家民宿讚不絕口，而且還想再來。侗寨是我希望能再次去的地方，商業化不是很濃，老闆是本地人，非常實在，去年因為我的疏忽過了入住時間，還是把房費退還給了我，這次入住來車站接的，還把行李搬上搬下，升級了房間，給我們了很好的入住體驗。晚上可以看下民俗表演，從老闆那拿票會便宜些，我們看得村民版，覺得值得一看，去堂安梯田也可以在老闆這拿票，非常方便。民宿門口有山泉水，走不遠就有車站，可以坐免費接駁車，到哪都非常方便，住這家民宿給了我和家人非常好的侗寨體驗"

"A super comfortable travel experience! The guesthouse is quiet despite being in a bustling area, with an extremely expansive view. Most importantly, the owners are incredibly welcoming and genuinely kind! Transportation: They provide a shuttle service. Apparently, the road around the village will be completed soon, leading directly to the guesthouse. Environment: I chose this guesthouse specifically for its large terrace. In the evenings, we can sit on the terrace chatting, playing games, and listening to the sound of the stream. The photos are exactly as pictured – the decor is very clean, the mattress is comfortable, and the bathroom even has disposable towels – very thoughtful! Service: The owners are truly dedicated to their business. They even treated us to cucumbers, and the rice noodles in the morning were delicious; I ate two big bowls! 😋 Activities: This is my second time visiting Zhaoxing Dong Village. Last time, I stayed inside the village, which was a bit noisy at night, so this time I specifically chose a spot at the highest point of the terraced fields – and it was definitely the right choice! The owners even helped arrange an electric scooter to take us to the guesthouse, and then we rode the scooter to Tang'an to watch the sunset over the terraced fields – absolutely beautiful! "Sharing my personal experience: Spur of the moment decision for a May Day road trip to Guizhou, with Zhaoxing Dong Village as our first stop. The B&B contacted us in advance to confirm our arrival time. They offer pick-up and drop-off service from the high-speed train station/scenic area entrance. Since we drove, we parked at the scenic area entrance, and after a few minutes' walk through ticket verification, they picked us up. The pick-up vehicle was a private car, and the staff member carried our luggage the whole way. It was a five-minute drive to the village entrance, then a 10-minute walk to the B&B. The last few minutes involved an uphill climb, but they helped with the luggage, so I personally didn't mind. Unless you're an elderly person who struggles with stairs, there's really nothing to complain about. The views from the top are excellent. The B&B is located slightly behind the center of the main street, making it very quiet at night. As for soundproofing, we went to bed quite late, and there was hardly any noise. On the way, the staff member gave us basic information about the village. It didn't matter that we hadn't planned anything; he offered suggestions based on our arrival time, the weather, and our travel goals, which I really appreciated (a day is definitely enough for this village). Breakfast: We woke up at 10 AM, and after asking, the staff member saved breakfast for us. We also requested to have it delivered to our room, which they accommodated – very satisfied with this. Regarding the room: The decor isn't luxurious, but it's very clean, and you can tell they maintain high cleaning standards. Using the bathtub cover can be a bit cumbersome, but it's usable. The bedding was my favorite – very comfortable. For a B&B, I think cleanliness is key, and I'm not overly picky. They provided complimentary fruit, and the water was VOSS. The toiletries were excellent; the shampoo felt very natural, and the dental kit was good too. Much better than the ones at Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village the next day; I should have taken some, but I forgot. Before departure, they would ask for our approximate leaving time in advance and arrange transport to the station. They would also help send our luggage to a station outside the scenic area, so we could just go explore. After exploring, we'd walk to the village entrance, and the car would already be there – very convenient. (I even asked the owner to chill some fruit for me, so I didn't have to go back for it when leaving; everything was arranged perfectly). The price we booked was 1350, due to the May Day peak season. For this price, the hardware facilities were decent, but what left the deepest impression on me was the overall experience. From check-in to check-out, every staff member we encountered had a constant, warm smile. Even the auntie who cooked breakfast was very friendly, making the start of our holiday very pleasant. I rarely write reviews and rarely stay in B&Bs. No one asked me for a good review when we checked out, so I'm writing this to express my gratitude. We arrived at 7 PM and checked out at 2 PM the next day. We watched a performance, ate sour soup fish, and did a travel photoshoot – it was perfect. Definitely worth experiencing."
