"I specifically chose the Sylvia Hotel for my Dragon Boat Festival holiday, and I genuinely recommend it to anyone visiting Weihai. The hotel's overall environment is peaceful and comfortable, completely free of noise. The biggest surprise was the guest room – it was very spacious, and all the in-room amenities were top-notch. The bathroom featured Kohler fixtures, which made for a particularly pleasant experience. The location is the biggest plus. Step out of the hotel and cross the road, and you're right on Hanle Street, where you'll find all sorts of Korean food, night market stalls, and everything you need for dining, entertainment, and shopping in one place. Considering the environment, facilities, and location, the value for money is exceptional. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Weihai!"

"Here's my objective review of this stay. Pros: 1. Upon check-in, a staff member helped me with my luggage from the lobby. 2. My child lost a toy accessory in the room during our stay and we couldn't find it. When checking out, I asked the staff to look for it again when cleaning the room. In the afternoon, the hotel informed me that they had two teams search for it and finally found it. I'm very grateful, and they even helped arrange for it to be sent back to me with payment on delivery. 3. During one of the cleanings, they left two extra bottles of water and a note, indicating they noticed formula milk powder in the room and that more water might be needed for mixing it. 4. The male staff member in a black suit I met in the hallway and the female cleaner I met the next morning greeted me very politely. 5. During breakfast, a very tall manager and other service staff saw me with my young child and proactively offered to cook the noodles longer and even brought them to my table. When I mentioned that the yogurt was gone, they responded and refilled it very quickly. 6. The room has a great view, offering panoramic views of the beach and the pier. Cons: 1. There were no Little Prince children's amenities or daily yogurt, which I had read about in other reviews. 2. The non-smoking floor was a joke. There was always a smell of smoke in the hallway, and there was an ashtray full of cigarette butts on the windowsill in the hallway right in front of our room. After I moved it to the trash bin near the elevator, a few hours later, a plastic box full of cigarette butts had replaced it in the original spot. After I reported this to the hotel, their only response was that the guest across the hall was smoking in the corridor and they had aired it out, with no other action taken. 3. The provided baby bed rail couldn't be fixed securely and was ineffective. At our request and prompting, they brought ropes to tie it down (at the previous hotel we stayed at, the bed rail was already tied and secured before our arrival). 4. During the mid-stay cleaning, they didn't notice clothes dropped on the floor, and the duvet was just folded haphazardly. However, they did proactively drain the water from the bathtub. 5. The hotel room card could open a door leading to the beach, but we weren't informed about this. We only found out from a passerby."

"When I came to Weihai three or four years ago, I booked this guesthouse, and I was very satisfied with it at the time. So this time, I chose it again. However, the check-in experience was not as satisfying as the last time. The first obvious issue was the elevator – it took forever to catch one. The second was the room's cleanliness; the glass door of the bathroom was completely grimy, and the shower area was right outside the bathroom door. After showering, the entire bathroom floor would be wet if you needed to use the toilet. Plus, the shower drain was clogged and didn't drain, leading to standing water. The third problem was the sewer smell. It was somewhat tolerable with the windows open during the day, but at night, with the windows closed, the smell filled the entire room. Luckily, I only stayed for two nights. If you're booking the same room type as mine, I suggest you inquire about these issues beforehand. The location is convenient; the beach is right downstairs, and there are people singing on the beach at night. For this room type, parents with small children should be aware of the steps, as kids might trip easily at first."

"This hotel is super pet-friendly and well-equipped, making it perfect for both short-term stays and longer getaways. You can enjoy a stunning ocean view right from your bed, and having breakfast on the small balcony is simply a treat. On this trip to Weihai, I unfortunately came down with acute gastroenteritis after overindulging in seafood on my first night and had to go to the hospital. I ended up spending the next two days recovering in the hotel, unable to go anywhere. However, I have absolutely no regrets; just lying in bed and admiring the beautiful scenery was enough for me! I'll definitely be back in Weihai, and I'll be sure to stay here again! **Amenities:** Excellent, with everything you need including a washing machine and refrigerator. **Cleanliness:** Spotless and well-maintained. **Environment:** The sea view is absolutely stunning. **Service:** Very attentive."

"Service: From the hotel staff to the restaurant waitresses, everyone was lovely and very enthusiastic. Location: It's in a prime spot on Torch 8th Street, very convenient. You can directly access Torch 8th Street from the hotel's second and third floors by elevator, so no need to climb hills, and it's great for photos. Room: We booked a sea-facing room, but trees were blocking the view, so we could barely see the ocean directly, which was a bit disappointing. You definitely need to stay on a higher floor here! And those rooms are even cheaper than ours! Cleanliness: It was just before peak season, so it was getting a bit crowded, and the cleaning wasn't as thorough. There were wrappers from kids' snacks near the sofa and some unidentified hair on the bed. If you like lively places, this is good, but if you prefer quiet, I'd suggest the Golden Sands area; it's less crowded and the hotels there are better. This place feels more like a guesthouse than a proper hotel. Overall, the value for money isn't great, so I wouldn't highly recommend it."

"Extremely, extremely clean! That was the most satisfying aspect. Secondly, the service consciousness was outstanding. Every staff member was attentive: greeting us warmly whenever we met, assisting with the elevator when nearby, crouching down to talk to children, providing tools for beachcombing and digging in the sand, and promptly resolving any issues they could, or offering alternative solutions if they couldn't. A special shout-out to the security guards at the entrance – they were all so welcoming. On the day we checked out, it was pouring rain and our driver was late. The guard in the lobby not only chatted with us and helped us call the car, but also inquired about our stay and assisted with our luggage. We're so grateful! Weihai truly stands out as the city with the best experience among all the tourist destinations we've visited."

"I came here for a relaxing seaside getaway and chose this guesthouse because I wanted to watch the sunrise from my room. The room is very spacious and incredibly well-equipped, with a fridge, projector, and washing machine. The fridge, in particular, was a huge plus for me! Thumbs up! The balcony offers direct sea views, so you can literally lie in bed and gaze at the ocean. I set my alarm to catch the sunrise, and it was pure bliss to wake up and just draw back the curtains to see it! So happy!! The service was also excellent. On the day I checked in, they called me just as I was looking for the front desk's coffee shop, and guided me there. After adding the housekeeper on WeChat, it was super easy to communicate any needs I had. It's also very close to the beach, just a few minutes' walk. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and ordering takeout is convenient. I guess it's off-season right now? The price was incredibly affordable. Highly recommend!"

"Coming during the off-season meant fewer people and a peaceful atmosphere. The ocean-view room had huge floor-to-ceiling windows, so I could watch the sunrise and sunset right from bed. There was also a big bathtub, and they even provided disposable bath liners, which was a real treat. I brought my dog along this time, and he loved it too, constantly sitting by the bed staring at the sea – he was so happy! But more than the room, I absolutely adored the hostess! She's like a walking encyclopedia of Weihai! Every day, I'd just bug her for recommendations, skipping all the planning and getting to try all sorts of delicious food. It was perfect for a lazy person like me; I just arrived, relaxed, and enjoyed the food and sights! Absolutely fantastic! Highly recommend it!"

The facilities are comprehensive and spotlessly clean; the kitchen and washing machine are brand new, making it very convenient for extended stays with cooking and laundry. Being on a higher floor, it's quiet and pleasant with fantastic views, allowing for panoramic vistas of the mountains, sea, and city – truly beautiful. Cons: Due to high guest traffic, it's frequently booked. I recommend booking in advance. Also, check-in isn't available until after 12 PM, so if you arrive early, you might have to wait."
