"Staying at Happiness Hostel was a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, with a social vibe that makes it easy to meet fellow travelers. The staff are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to make guests feel at home, offering helpful tips about El Nido and arranging tours with ease. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with a simple but cozy design. The common areas are well-maintained, and the on-site restaurant serves delicious food at fair prices. Location is another big plus—right in the heart of town, close to the beach, shops, and nightlife, yet still relaxed enough to enjoy downtime. What really sets this hostel apart is the sense of community. It feels more like staying with friends than just booking a bed. For budget-conscious travelers who want both comfort and connection, Happiness Hostel is a perfect choice."

"The hotel is conveniently located near the airport; it's quiet and offers a good night's sleep. A beautiful lagoon with a wild beach is a 40-minute scooter ride away. All amenities are a 10-minute drive away. Breakfasts are good, always featuring scrambled eggs, sausages or meat, pancakes or toast with toppings, and freshly brewed coffee. Grab food delivery is available until 11 PM, but the hotel's own restaurant is also quite good. The room had all the amenities, including air conditioning and a refrigerator. There was hot water, but the pressure was very weak, and the plumbing was very old and the hoses were leaking. The staff was very responsive. They were happy to answer any questions and help with anything. Airport transfers were also available, as were transfers to other cities, even to the other end of the island. The experience was excellent."

"We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights before heading to El Nido. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. The view from the pool, overlooking Honda Bay, is simply breathtaking. The hotel offers complimentary airport transfers and shuttle service to/from Robinson's Mall. You can also conveniently book a minivan to El Nido directly through them. In my opinion, the breakfast was a bit underwhelming. Options included scrambled eggs/omelets, cereal, bread, jams, and butter. There was very little fruit and only one salad. The rice, soups, and other dishes weren't particularly appealing to a European palate (the meat and fish were too overcooked). However, the à la carte menu for dinner and lunch (which is paid) was, on the contrary, very delicious. The hotel itself is quite old. The furniture in the rooms shows its age. There was also a slight musty smell, although the cleanliness was maintained. The staff were incredibly pleasant and responsive. Overall, the hotel is suitable for 1-2 nights, but don't rely too heavily on the photos."

"This place is truly a little corner of paradise. It’s almost impossible to put into words how much we enjoyed our stay and how special this place is. The owners — an Englishman and a Filipina — are the perfect mix of warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail. They genuinely go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable and are happy to accommodate almost any request, always in such a natural and unobtrusive way. The rooms are comfortable, spotless, and beautifully maintained. The air conditioning is quiet, the mattresses and pillows are incredibly comfortable, and everything you might need is provided — right down to shower gel and a toothbrush. The hotel is still relatively new and everything is in excellent condition. There are free SUP boards for guests, and you can also rent a scooter from the hotel if you feel like exploring El Nido for the day. And then there’s the food… that deserves a review of its own! Everything we tried was absolutely delicious, and the cocktails were fantastic. You can order fresh seafood, or even buy it yourself and have the team prepare it for you. My husband loves grilling, so we arranged to get some meat and had our own little BBQ evening. One of the staff members was genuinely excited to help and learn how it’s done — such a small moment, but incredibly warm and touching. My husband also wanted to go fishing, and the local fishermen were happy to take him along. Unfortunately, we simply didn’t have enough time during our stay, but knowing that such experiences were so easily arranged made the place feel even more special. That’s the beauty of a small boutique hotel like this. Unlike huge resorts, they can actually respond to the individual wishes of their guests and make you feel personally cared for. At the same time, there is absolutely no pressure to socialize. Everything is beautifully balanced: if you want to chat, there’s always someone happy to talk to; if you want privacy, you’ll have complete peace and seclusion. It truly feels like your own little paradise. If we ever return to El Nido, we will absolutely stay here again. Thank you to the wonderful owners and the whole team for such a memorable stay. "This hotel is perfectly adequate for a stay. The main draw is the fantastic sea view from the panoramic windows or the balcony. There are almost no issues with the room itself, except for the floor (some tiles are coming loose) and the bathroom, where there's occasionally a sewer smell. Otherwise, everything is good. For swimming, it's better to go to Vanilla Beach (to the right of the hotel), where you'll also find cafes. And for the best sunsets, head to the very end of Las Cabanas beach (to the left of the hotel)."
