"This was truly a moving stay! We checked in during Chinese New Year, and because of a flight delay, we didn't arrive until after midnight. The owner came out in the middle of the night to help us with our luggage, turned on the oxygen machine for us, and even brought us instant noodles – absolutely thoughtful! What was even more touching was when they later found out we wanted to go to the observation deck the night before to secure a parking spot. They proactively offered to pick us up, knowing that walking would involve an uphill climb and be quite tiring. My goodness, they offered to pick us up! Even though it was only a 5-minute walk, with the altitude and the climb, the owner's thoughtfulness was incredible and brought tears to my eyes. Getting back to the point, the hotel's location is excellent. The rooftop terrace goes without saying, and the interior of the guesthouse is also absolutely amazing. I've attached photos – perfect for those 'once-in-a-lifetime' shots!"

"Firstly, this has to be one of the nicest places which I stayed at in Yunnan, or in China for that matter. You may be thinking that is price is good to be true, but this place performs well above what is to be expected of that price range. I was originally planning to stay elsewhere in Benzilan, but am very glad that I stayed here. The rooms are super spacious with high ceilings and wooden furniture. The view out of my window was very green and calming. The amenities were all well-maintained and very clean. The pictures really don't do the rooms the justice that they deserve. Secondly, and very importantly, the owner - a young Benzilan local who operates the hotel with his mother - is exceptionally kind, genuine and friendly. As a solo traveller, he helped organise transport, offered lunch, and even some of the local liquor. As far as service goes, this place remains unbeaten amongst all the places I've travelled in China. The hotel overlooks the mountains surrounding Benzilan. In the evening, you can peacefully sit outside the hotel on its elevated terrace and quietly watch the mountains as the sun goes down. I would not hesitate to stay again."

"I've been wanting to visit Ji Xia Shan for five years, and I absolutely love the overall design style. It was just as I imagined, and the service was incredibly warm; everyone was smiling and friendly. The rooftop bar has little notebooks where you can write your own stories and read others' thoughts. It's a shame that it was foggy these past few days so I couldn't see the magnificent snow-capped mountains, but I look forward to seeing them next time."

"Choosing Far Mountain Meili (Yuan Shan Meili) was truly a stroke of luck for my trip to Meili! Located in Wunongding, the view is absolutely stunning, with the room's floor-to-ceiling windows directly facing the Thirteen Peaks of Meili. I was so fortunate that the weather turned from rain to clear skies during my trip, allowing me to witness the sacred mountains reveal themselves. I could quietly admire the snow-capped peaks right from my balcony, without having to jostle with crowds at a viewing platform. The room has underfloor heating, which made my stay warm and comfortable at high altitude, and it was very clean. The owner and staff were friendly and thoughtful, even offering practical tips for altitude sickness."

"I traveled thousands of miles to Deqin just to witness the majestic beauty of the snow-capped mountains 🏔. I'm so glad I booked a room with a snow view at this hotel. It was a very cost-effective choice for a solo traveler. When it's time to enjoy life, you should go for it; you only live once. Let this brief freedom be a seasoning for an ordinary life, giving yourself the courage for a better one. The hotel service was excellent; everyone was very attentive to me since I was traveling alone, and they even gave me a small ornament when I left. The room was spacious and elegant, very comfortable to stay in. The diffused oxygen supply also worked well, although I tend to get nervous easily and still went to the hospital to breathe some oxygen for a while. Actually, there's no need to be too afraid of altitude sickness; most symptoms can be relieved at the hospital. Most importantly, the hotel's 5th-floor observation deck is fantastic. You don't need to crowd with people at the Wunongding viewpoint. I left my camera at the hotel to shoot a time-lapse and went to take some portraits. Plus, watching the starry sky and waiting for the sunrise with friends from all corners of the world at the hotel was truly a romantic experience. Finally, regarding the mountain views, this was a completely successful trip. From sunset to high noon, I was honored to witness the diverse charm of Meili Snow Mountain. On the first evening, as the vehicle drove out of National Highway 214, I caught sight of the thirteen peaks of Meili. Clouds drifted slowly, and the sun gradually set. Soon after, the Milky Way hung low above Mt. Miancimu, and Comet Lemmon descended towards Mt. Bawu Bameng, creating a starry night. Under the stars, the Winter Triangle appeared even more captivating, adorned with the Taurus meteor shower, making the night sky seem like a dream. As night deepened and the moon rose, the crescent moon stubbornly illuminated the snow-capped mountains, casting a faint pearly white glow. Until dawn, the sky transformed from blue to pink, heralding the arrival of a new day. At daybreak, the first ray of sunlight illuminated the peak of Kawagarbo, and the legendary 'Sunlight on Golden Mountain' passionately displayed Meili's grandeur. Once the golden light covered all thirteen peaks, the contours of the snow mountain were clearly outlined, and the most beautiful snow mountain finally revealed its perfect form. The mountain doesn't speak, but people have wishes; Meili just stands quietly, inspiring endless imagination. After the crowds receded, the snow mountain returned to its pristine white, and strolling through Wunongding, watching the mountains, listening to the wind, and playing with cats, offered another kind of pleasure. People say that seeing the 'Sunlight on Golden Mountain' brings good luck for the whole year. A year is too long; I only know that at this moment, I have captured the happiness of life."

"This hotel has a fantastic design. The front desk and concierge staff were incredibly warm and helpful, always responding promptly and cheerfully to all our questions – a truly energetic group of young people. Our room had underfloor heating, which was wonderfully comfortable, and the oxygen diffuser was a real lifesaver for altitude sickness. They even had the heating on before we checked in, so the room was toasty warm when we arrived. From the hotel's viewing platform, you can gaze out at Meili Snow Mountain. It's a bit of a shame though that there's a new hotel under construction nearby; it was a bit noisy and blocked a small part of the view. The restaurant served delicious food, and breakfast was excellent too! I really loved this hotel."

"The hotel is new, probably only a few months old. I didn't notice any odors, and I guess it's been ventilated. The room is very spacious, with a beautiful river view! Aside from the yellowed pillows, which we used disposable pillowcases for, everything else was quite satisfactory. The service was excellent; since there's no elevator, the hostess carried our luggage upstairs. By the way, the hotel doesn't have a swimming pool. The business owner shouldn't advertise it as having one; it doesn't exist! Fishing is also prohibited; there's no platform, and going to the river is dangerous. Please remove these listings!"

"I initially chose this hotel for its stunning mountain views, but after my stay, I realized the thoughtful service was even more impressive than the scenery. After booking, a service chat group was created to patiently answer all my travel questions. Knowing I had meniscus injuries in both knees and concerns about hiking, the staff proactively planned an itinerary for me, making every effort to avoid difficult routes. Upon arriving at the village, a staff member immediately came to help carry my luggage, relieving me of my travel burdens. Hiking can easily make your clothes sweaty, and the hotel provided a meticulous laundry and drying service. Dirty clothes were collected in the evening and returned neatly folded to my room door the next morning. The warm goodnight milk and daily afternoon tea showed genuine care in every detail. When I went on the Shenpu (Divine Waterfall) route, Ms. Muzi from the Yi ethnic group accompanied me for nearly eight hours of hiking, looking after me the entire way. The manager, Ms. Manager, always responded promptly to my concerns, no matter how late, and shared delightful scenic surprises that could be reached on the day of my arrival in the service group. Another unexpected pleasure was the authentic and delicious food; it was a surprising culinary experience in a mountain village setting. At night, I sat on the lawn in front of the hotel and captured the brilliant starry sky with my old Huawei P30 Pro (parameters detailed in the image below). Every staff member was warm and enthusiastic, and their attentiveness was evident in every detail. Meeting in this beautiful natural setting, I feel grateful and look forward to returning someday."

"The hotel service was absolutely fantastic, seriously, a huge shout-out! Our once-in-a-decade girls' trip was made perfect. I accidentally left something behind, and the front desk staff literally ran to bring it to our car. The accommodation was very quiet, and the food recommendations were truly authentic. ~~~ Definitely our top choice for our next trip to Benzilan!!!"

"Since we came from Yubeng Village and didn't rent a car, the hotel's location was indeed much more suitable for self-driving. Fortunately, the hotel accommodated these inconveniences. The hotel was renovated from an abandoned elementary school, but the overall feel is like a designer's new creation. The amenities were excellent. In addition to the essentials, there was a tea table by the large window facing the mountains. The bed was large, and our room wasn't arranged side by side, but rather one side by one, which was quite unique and even involved a fight over it. The laundry service was thoughtful, and they even delivered goodnight milk in the evening. I also commend the breakfast, which offered both Chinese and Western options. It was one of the most comfortable and freshest breakfasts I've had in Yunnan these past few days, and the Western dishes were very satisfying. The hotel is located in a village group of only eight households, a quiet place with both activity and tranquility. The villagers are simple and shy, and after a walk, I joined them in circumambulating the Buddhist scriptures. Nearby are the Baima Snow Mountain, perfect for hiking, the Niding Line, perfect for children, and numerous wineries. The town itself is famous for the story of a French grandmother. Driving on your own is definitely more enjoyable, but mountain roads require some driving skills. Time is limited, so I'll definitely make up for this regret next time I drive on my own."
