"I was highly disappointed with my stay due to several major issues. First, the room description is completely misleading. I booked a room advertised with a ”City View,” but instead, I was given a room facing an inner courtyard with no city view whatsoever. Secondly, despite clearly booking for 2 guests, the room amenities were strictly prepared for just one person. We were only provided with one bath towel, one standard pillow, and one large pillow for two guests. Finally, the blanket was far too small for two guests sharing a Queen-size bed. Even though I am only 167 cm tall, it was impossible to cover my entire body. If I pulled the blanket up to cover my chest, my feet were exposed; if I covered my feet, my chest was exposed. What made it even more unreasonable was that the blanket was so narrow that it could only comfortably cover one person, despite being provided for a Queen-size bed intended for two guests. I would not recommend this property until these basic hospitality issues are addressed. Ich war von meinem Aufenthalt sehr enttäuscht, da es mehrere erhebliche Probleme gab. Wir erhielten lediglich ein Badetuch, ein normales Kissen und ein großes Kissen für zwei Gäste. Schließlich war die Decke viel zu klein für zwei Personen, die sich ein Queen-Size-Bett teilen. Obwohl ich nur 167 cm groß bin, war es unmöglich, meinen ganzen Körper zuzudecken. Wenn ich die Decke bis zur Brust hochzog, waren meine Füße unbedeckt. Wenn ich meine Füße bedeckte, lag meine Brust frei. Besonders unverständlich war, dass die Decke so schmal war, dass sie praktisch nur für eine Person geeignet war, obwohl sie für ein Queen-Size-Bett für zwei Gäste vorgesehen war. Ich kann diese Unterkunft nicht empfehlen, solange diese grundlegenden Mängel im Service nicht behoben werden."

"The rooms were well soundproofed, and the reception staff were friendly and very helpful. There's free access to shared washer/dryers and a kitchenette, which only offers a countertop and basic dishes – nothing more. The rooms don't even have a mini-fridge or air conditioning. The temperature control system was faulty from the beginning of our stay and wasn't fully repaired. In summer, it's quite warm, relatively humid, and unpleasant. The only salvation is a fan that can be requested from reception. In our case, the drain wasn't fully clear; during showers, water would pool ankle-deep and only drain after about fifteen minutes. Rooms are cleaned every 3 days, which mostly involves changing towels and making the bed – no vacuuming, linen changes, or bathroom cleaning, which is quite insufficient. However, you can request an additional (presumably more thorough) cleaning at reception. Towels in the service room quickly run out, forcing you to use wet ones that have no chance of drying in the room. It's quite noisy outside in the evenings due to young people and loud vehicles, making it impossible to sleep. Closing the window only leads to higher temperatures and humidity. These are not the standards of a 4-star hotel. The advantage is the relatively cheap underground parking compared to prices in the area. Overall, it was an average stay, fair for the price compared to other hotels in Switzerland."

"Great stay at Ameron Zürich Bellerive au Lac. The hotel has an excellent location right by Lake Zurich, within walking distance to the city center and main attractions. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable, and some rooms offer a beautiful lake view. Staff were friendly and professional, and the overall atmosphere was calm and pleasant. A very good choice for both leisure and short stays in Zurich."

"The hotel is located on a hill, so you'll need to take a bus to get there. It's two bus stops away from ETH. There's a Coop supermarket right outside the hotel, which is very convenient for groceries. It's cheaper if you book in advance, but overall, the value for money isn't great."

"Very friendly service, and the location directly on the lake is simply stunning. The boat dock is right next to the hotel, and you can take a boat to Zurich in 30 minutes. The train station is also just a few minutes' walk away. The rooms are beautifully decorated, although the beds were a bit too soft for us. The restaurant offers excellent cuisine. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired, and all the products offered are locally sourced. The coffee is also very good. We'll definitely be back."

"The hotel location is convenient, right next to a large supermarket. However, parking is limited. When we arrived, we were told there were no spaces available, so we had to park in a nearby mall, which was quite expensive. The room was tidy and clean. There was no air conditioning, but they had a cooling unit. It wasn't as effective as AC, but luckily it was cool at night and not stuffy. The bedding was comfortable, and the furniture felt high-quality. The soundproofing was a bit poor, though, making it easy to be disturbed."

"I had a lovely stay here. The hotel is in a brilliant spot and perfect for getting around. The place itself is really nice and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I also really enjoyed the hotel restaurant. Loved the little extra touches too — the yoga mat, fruit, water, umbrella, and the cute outdoor area. All those small details made the stay feel special. Would happily stay again."

"The location is easy to find, in a residential area, the environment is good and quiet. The service staff at the front desk were very enthusiastic and patiently told us where we could park our car. The room is large, has slippers, a kettle, and a small balcony. There's nothing wrong with it except that it's expensive."

"The location is stunning, but I strongly recommend visiting for the day rather than staying overnight. On our first night we stayed in a double room, which was lovely—far nicer than the “view rooms.” Had we left after that, we would have been satisfied. Unfortunately, our second night was a disaster. We had paid extra for a view room, expecting to wake up to the mountains and lakes. The room itself was less appealing, but we didn’t mind as we were looking forward to the scenery. Instead, the evening was filled with constant noise from the restaurant and winter games below. We tried to stay positive, believing the view would make up for it. But at 11:30pm, deafening dance music shook the room. Reception informed us that a function had been booked right next door and would continue until 2am. They admitted they had already moved one family and offered to move us too—meaning we had to pack up and relocate in the middle of the night. By then, we were wide awake and struggled to sleep again. The next morning, when we asked to speak to a manager, we were told they didn’t know when one would be available. The only compensation offered was a free breakfast and late check‑out. No refund was given, despite the fact that we lost the view we had paid for and endured a sleepless night. The setting itself is incredible, but the hotel’s handling of guests is unacceptable. Save yourself the disappointment: enjoy the area during the day, but avoid staying at the hotel."

"I booked this hotel because of its convenient location, just a 10-minute drive to Zurich Airport and 20 minutes to downtown. The room was functionally designed. Although there was no fridge and electric kettle, a coffee machine was provided. Check-in was handled by a staff member, and there's parking available for those traveling by car but just remember to bring your ticket to get it validated. Car park is FOC. The hotel is surrounded by supermarkets like Coop, Aldi, Lidl, and more, which made it very convenient. I’d be happy to stay here again in the future."
