"My Semporna trip was full of pleasant surprises, and I absolutely have to rave about the overwater villa I stayed in! 😆 Before I left, I'd only booked a standard terraced room, but to my surprise, the owner upgraded us to a private standalone villa for free when we checked in! It worked out to only about 800 yuan a night for a private sea-view villa with its own terrace – what a steal! We were grinning from ear to ear the moment we stepped inside. Once we actually settled in, we didn't even feel like going out to sightsee. In the mornings, we'd just pull up a small chair on the terrace, feel the sea breeze, do some fishing with our feet dangling in the cool water, and just relax. It was so comfortable doing absolutely nothing. In the evenings, we'd sit on the terrace and watch the sunset paint the entire sea a fiery orange. And waking up, we'd see the sunrise emerge from the horizon right from our room. There's also a huge bathtub where you can soak and gaze at the sea – now *that's* a vacation! I have to give a special shout-out to the butler here; they were incredibly thoughtful. When we wanted to go sea fishing, they had bait ready for us in advance. When we wanted to go into town for food and shopping, we just mentioned it and a car was arranged to pick us up very quickly, no delays at all. Plus, when you look down from the overwater villa, you can clearly see all sorts of small fish swimming around in the sea. In the mornings, we even saw little crabs 'strolling' on our terrace. Feeding the fish breadcrumbs and just leisurely passing the morning was incredibly relaxing. This is absolutely the most satisfying overwater villa I've ever stayed in, hands down. If you're coming to Semporna, you really should consider this place! 👍"

It's within walking distance to the jetty for island hopping and conveniently close to a shopping mall and popular seafood restaurants, making it easy to get around and find places to eat. Opened in 2025, the facilities are brand new and luxuriously appointed. Higher-floor rooms offer great views, and the infinity heated pool is perfect for Instagram-worthy photos. The breakfast spread is extensive, with both Western and Asian options. The multilingual front desk staff provide attentive service, and the comprehensive security ensures a safe and comfortable stay. The only minor drawbacks are that drainage in some rooms can be slow and a few cleaning details could be improved, plus the price is a bit on the higher side. Overall, it's ideal for travelers who prioritize accommodation quality and primarily plan to do island hopping."

"The best decision I made for this trip was booking this hotel. I'd give the staff five stars for their incredibly warm and helpful service; any issues were addressed very quickly. The hotel itself is incredibly photogenic with tons of spots for amazing pictures. The room was really comfortable, and I have to give a special shout-out to the hairdryer – its powerful airflow was a lifesaver for someone like me who needs to wash their hair daily after being out at sea. Plus, the hotel offers convenient shuttle service to and from the pier!"

"We arrived at the hotel around 12 PM, initially planning to just leave our luggage. To our pleasant surprise, the front desk staff had an available room and let us check in immediately, which was very thoughtful and accommodating. We understand that accommodations in smaller towns often have limited facilities, so we went in with realistic expectations. The room was reasonably clean, and we had brought our own disposable bed sheets and toiletries just in case. The location was also quite good, making it easy to get around."

"We arrived close to 10 PM, and to our surprise, not only was the front desk waiting, but Ah Qiang, the head of housekeeping, and Ah Zhong, the restaurant chef, were also still up. Ah Qiang helped us with our luggage to the room and even turned on the hallway lights for us. Ah Zhong, late at night, fired up the stove and made us fried rice noodles as a late-night snack. On the third day, it was my sister's birthday, and after a day of fun, we returned to the hotel for dinner when we realized we should celebrate with a cake. It was already 7:30 PM and pitch black outside. Without a word, Ah Qiang drove me straight to a cake shop in town. We rushed in just before they closed and I managed to get the birthday cake I wanted. When everyone praised my thoughtfulness, I knew I should be thanking Ah Qiang! What's more, the hotel's chef, Ah Zhong from Foshan, is an extraordinary cook. From simple fried rice noodles and fried rice to more elaborate dishes like pipa shrimp sashimi, baked lobster, and stonefish gourd soup, every dish amazed us, and even the plating was meticulous. Every day, we bought seafood and enjoyed fantastic meals at the hotel restaurant. A big thank you to Ah Zhong and his kitchen team! The hotel's bathroom facilities were also excellent. The shower faucet had a temperature display, allowing for precise water temperature adjustment, and the vanity mirror was fog-free."
