"Environment: I highly recommend this hotel. The location is a huge advantage – right outside is the pier for diving and island hopping. After a day of island hopping, it's just a short 90-meter walk back to your room to shower and change, which is incredibly convenient for diving enthusiasts. Downstairs, there's a convenience store, supermarket, drink shops, seafood restaurants, and even a fish market. Everything you need for food, drinks, and entertainment is easily accessible. Cleanliness: The room was spotlessly clean and tidy, with all necessary amenities. The private balcony directly faces the beautiful sea. Sitting on the balcony enjoying the sea breeze and ocean views in your free time is a perfect experience."

"Facilities: The facilities are OK, but there is no elevator, so it is a bit difficult to carry the suitcase. Hygiene: The hygiene is OK, because it is very close to the fish market at the pier, there is a salty smell, which will disappear after a long time. The bedsheets also have some marks, but there is no smell of mold or anything like that, which is pretty good, and it will not affect it if you put it on. Environment: It is convenient to live on the pier. Service: The waiter's attitude is not very good, and no one cleaned the room for three days. Especially the check-in experience is not good. Their front desk is on the second floor, and the door on the first floor is locked and can't be opened. Just when I was about to call them, a child ran over and pressed the code through the iron door. We said that the child brother was really enthusiastic and helped a lot, but a group of children came around to ask for money. . . This experience really deducted a lot of points. It is recommended to stay in a decent hotel. The homestay in the small fishing village is not good."

"I contacted the hotel via WhatsApp 3 days before check-in, and they replied very quickly. They even called me back, and the communication was very smooth. The boat departs from the jetty at 1:30 PM, but when we arrived at 12:30 PM, the boat was already waiting. Someone helped us with our luggage when we boarded. Later, we found out they weren't hotel staff, so we tipped each of them RM5. The hotel's check-out time is 10 AM, and the latest guests can leave by boat is 11 AM because the boat cannot sail after low tide. So, no late check-outs are possible. On the way there, it was high tide, and the boat sailed over shallow waters. The 'jelly sea' was absolutely stunning. My initial apprehension instantly turned into pure delight – it was so worth it! We were 6 adults and 3 children. We originally booked one triple fan room and one quintuple fan room. Because I didn't want a corner room, and the quintuple room was in the westernmost corner, and since there weren't many guests during the off-peak season (we practically had the place to ourselves, which was a pleasant surprise!), the hotel generously gave us an additional triple room and upgraded all our rooms to air-conditioned ones. Another great surprise! Actually, the sea breeze was strong, and opening the window with a fan was already very comfortable, so we didn't really need the air conditioning. In fact, after snorkeling, we found it too cold in the room, so we promptly turned off the AC. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations. The quintuple room was newer, while the two triple rooms were smaller and older. However, the sea view was so beautiful, and given the great value for money, these minor issues were acceptable. The hotel owner was also very accommodating and gave us keys to a few rooms, letting us choose which ones we wanted. Since the quintuple room was on the western side, the sunset views were spectacular. My friends even saw sea turtles twice from their room at night. After watching the sunrise, we walked to the easternmost part of the hotel. There's a bridge there that's perfect for photos, and we kept seeing sea turtles, which was such an amazing surprise! We saw about 7-8 sea turtles intermittently, and they were huge! It might have been the start of low tide, and they were all swimming towards the deep sea. This must be a common path for them, and it was the biggest highlight of our trip. The hotel has Wi-Fi and accepts TNG for payment. The round-trip boat ticket costs RM100, and children ride for free. Life jackets are RM5, and swimming rings are RM10 (no time limit). The hotel's snorkeling masks were broken and unavailable for rent, so it's best to bring your own. The sea has lots of corals, starfish, and fish, making it excellent for snorkeling. Bring extra bread to feed the fish. The hotel doesn't provide bottled water or hair dryers, but there's hot water and tea bags. Dinner was local Malay food, which might not suit everyone's palate, but we found it quite good, and the fish was cooked tenderly. The simple breakfast included delicious fried rice noodles. We also brought some chocolates and instant cereal/drink mixes to prepare with the hotel's hot water. There's also free karaoke and Lami mahjong, though they can only be used until 11 PM. The karaoke is a new facility, only 4 months old, and the sound system is excellent. The Lami mahjong set was brand new. In summary: Although the hotel is a bit old, the sea is incredibly beautiful, and we even saw sea turtles. For the price, it offers great value. Overall, I highly recommend it."

"For my trip to Semporna, I spent a long time searching online before finally choosing this place, and I'm so glad I did! Even though it's a guesthouse-style hotel in town, the experience exceeded my expectations. Location: It's right in the center of Semporna town, by the sea. Downstairs is the famous seafood market, making it super convenient to buy fresh seafood and bargain for prices. There are also many seafood restaurants nearby that can cook it for you, offering great value for money and a truly satisfying meal. It's only a 5-10 minute walk to the jetty, with two jetties nearby, making island hopping tours very convenient. Next to the hotel, there's also a Sayang specialty store where you can buy souvenirs, and it's also a pharmacy with daily disposable contact lenses. Watson's and convenience stores are also nearby. Room Facilities: I booked a sea-view king room. The room was large and spacious, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering an amazing sea view right from the bed! The bedding was very comfortable, and the linens were clean. From what I saw online, it's a hotel that opened in the last two years, so the facilities are still quite new. My relatives booked a family room, which was also excellent, with two beds more than enough for a family of three. Service: The owner is Chinese, and there's a 24-hour Chinese-speaking butler, so communication is seamless. The front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic and even recommended great places to eat in town. The front desk attendant was also very friendly, helping us carry our luggage upstairs (even though there's no elevator, their service made up for it). There's also a vending machine in the lobby where you can buy frozen aloe vera gel, highly recommended for sunburn! Breakfast: Although simple, it includes coffee, fried noodles, eggs, and bread – perfectly adequate to fill you up before heading out for island activities. Summary: If you manage your expectations for a hotel in Semporna town (after all, you can't compare it to a 4 or 5-star hotel in a city center), this is definitely a hidden gem in town. It's clean, convenient, the owner is reliable, and it offers great value for money. I've already recommended it to my friends and family!"

"Everything about this place was great! The courtyard was clean and even had little cats. Communication in Chinese was seamless, and the owner was a really nice, young guy from mainland China. There's also a pool in the courtyard, which was lovely for an evening breeze. It's super close to the pier, just a few minutes' walk, so getting around was easy. The owner was incredibly helpful. The room had an electric mosquito repellent, and all the usual disposable toiletries were well-stocked. We even saw a group of people who thought they'd lost their phone, and the owner immediately helped them search for it, only for it to turn out it was in their car – it just goes to show how warm-hearted and positive the owner is, thumbs up! He also gave us tips on seafood prices to help us bargain and recommended some great restaurants for processing seafood. Honestly, it was a fantastic stay, and I'd definitely choose to stay here again if I come back."

"My Semporna trip was full of pleasant surprises, and I absolutely have to rave about the overwater villa I stayed in! 😆 Before I left, I'd only booked a standard terraced room, but to my surprise, the owner upgraded us to a private standalone villa for free when we checked in! It worked out to only about 800 yuan a night for a private sea-view villa with its own terrace – what a steal! We were grinning from ear to ear the moment we stepped inside. Once we actually settled in, we didn't even feel like going out to sightsee. In the mornings, we'd just pull up a small chair on the terrace, feel the sea breeze, do some fishing with our feet dangling in the cool water, and just relax. It was so comfortable doing absolutely nothing. In the evenings, we'd sit on the terrace and watch the sunset paint the entire sea a fiery orange. And waking up, we'd see the sunrise emerge from the horizon right from our room. There's also a huge bathtub where you can soak and gaze at the sea – now *that's* a vacation! I have to give a special shout-out to the butler here; they were incredibly thoughtful. When we wanted to go sea fishing, they had bait ready for us in advance. When we wanted to go into town for food and shopping, we just mentioned it and a car was arranged to pick us up very quickly, no delays at all. Plus, when you look down from the overwater villa, you can clearly see all sorts of small fish swimming around in the sea. In the mornings, we even saw little crabs 'strolling' on our terrace. Feeding the fish breadcrumbs and just leisurely passing the morning was incredibly relaxing. This is absolutely the most satisfying overwater villa I've ever stayed in, hands down. If you're coming to Semporna, you really should consider this place! 👍"

"Environment: The room was small and quite old, like a small guesthouse in a third-tier city in China. You could see the sea from the room, though. The bathroom was tiny. Service: The front desk was very slow when checking us in; people who arrived after us were already done. It said they offered Chinese service, but it was just a tiny bit, really just a tiny bit. However, they did provide breakfast vouchers which you could redeem on the first floor. Hygiene: When we pulled back the covers, the bedding was wrinkled. We initially thought it hadn't been changed, but even after they supposedly changed it, it was still wrinkled. Maybe that's just how it is."

"Great value for money! The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from the pier, which makes it very convenient for island hopping. There are also convenience stores nearby. Plus, it's only about a 10-minute walk to the seafood market. The owner is a very straightforward and friendly guy from Northeast China. We even bought some seafood ourselves and the hotel was able to cook it for us. I'll definitely recommend this place to my friends when they visit next time."

"We were two girls traveling, and here's why we chose Yongda: It's very close to the pier, a 10-minute walk or a 2-minute drive, making it super convenient for island hopping. Plus, Yongda has a shuttle service, offering free pick-up and drop-off to the pier for excursions. They even drove us to the seafood market to haggle for prices, which was incredibly helpful. For a hotel in town, it's really quite good. And! Yongda was the only hotel in Malaysia that had three-pin sockets, meaning we didn't need a travel adapter! That was truly a lifesaver~ Pro tip: If you're going to the seafood market to bargain, go after 8:00 PM. If you go too early, it's crowded and you won't be able to get the prices down."
