Some folks might complain about minor things, but you can't expect the world. The room is clean, the bathroom is fully equipped for showering, and you can even dry clothes on the second floor. Honestly, what more could you ask for? I'll definitely stay here again next time. It's a mere 3-minute walk to Wangwang Suduowu, 3 minutes to KFC, and there's a small supermarket right in front of the hotel, about 10 meters away. I genuinely think it's a fantastic spot!"

They even thoughtfully arrange island hopping and snorkeling, making your trip incredibly hassle-free. "This stay truly exceeded my expectations! After comparing hotels throughout the town, this one's hygiene standards are definitely five-star. It was incredibly clean and tidy, making for a very reassuring and comfortable stay. The owner is exceptionally kind, warm, and thoughtful, and the staff's service is also very attentive and detailed, always ready to help with anything. They really went above and beyond. The hotel even provides mosquito coils and a swimming pool, showing great attention to detail. The only slight downside was that the food's flavor was just average; I hope they can improve this in the future. Overall, highly recommended!"

"Five-star review, highly recommend Barracuda Den! Semporna is notorious for its dirty and messy accommodations, but Barracuda Den has no real competition at its price point. The location is excellent, just 700 meters from Hai Feng Pier, making it a 10-minute walk to catch boats for island hopping. Right outside the door, you'll find all sorts of food options, which is super convenient. It's safe, with card access required for entry and exit. It's clean; I even saw staff doing a thorough cleaning. Every time you close the door to the guesthouse, you can completely disconnect yourself from the chaotic and dirty environment outside. The guesthouse offers free toast, instant noodles, and cooking utensils. As a fan of simple meals, it was great to have fried eggs, toasted bread, and hot tea every day! The washing machine is free to use, which is a big plus since many accommodations in Semporna charge for laundry. The staff are very friendly, and the seafood restaurant they recommended next door was also very affordable. Absolutely no complaints!"

"The room was very clean. It just opened in February this year and the environment is nice. It's an eight-minute walk from the tourist jetty center, and there's a Chinese-speaking receptionist. It's great value for money! The landlady even helped me call a taxi back to the airport. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Semporna."

"A resort with hotel standards! Compared to Yongda in town, this place definitely feels more like a hotel. The staff are warm and friendly, and the overall environment is beautiful with lovely greenery and landscaping. The rooms are quite spacious and very clean! It's so relaxing to just gaze out at the green plants from behind the curtains and listen to the rain. They also offer a shuttle service to town, and the restaurant's cuisine is excellent! Overall, the standard here is much higher than the hotels in town."

"The room is quite spacious and very clean. Check-in is on the first floor. When you go upstairs to the second floor where the rooms are, you first change into slippers, then walk down a hallway to your room. On the first floor, in the morning, there are self-service options for breakfast like coffee, milk tea, bread, and jam. On the second-floor balcony, there's a sink for washing things and a washing machine. There's also a long open-air balcony where you can dry clothes after a trip to the sea; hangers and racks are provided, which is great. The location isn't too remote either; it's about a 15-minute walk to the pier. Do note that the front desk staff doesn't speak Chinese, so you'll need to communicate in English. Also, the rooms on the second floor have private bathrooms, but you have to take a somewhat steep staircase, which might not be ideal for guests with children or the elderly. The rooms on the first floor can be a bit noisy, and it seems they all have shared bathrooms."

"We stayed for three consecutive nights, and it was absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend this place for families or couples. It boasts a beautiful tropical jungle setting, perfect for nature walks where you can spot plenty of wildlife. This is a truly excellent hotel that provides complimentary city shuttle service, making everything incredibly convenient and hassle-free. They offer personalized butler service, and the kitchen excels at preparing various seafood and delicious Cantonese cuisine – simply superb! Semporna itself is amazing! You can go hiking and take in stunning views of the emerald-green sea; make sure to seize every opportunity. Booking island hopping tours through the hotel was very cost-effective. We got two snorkeling sessions, each lasting about half an hour, and it was incredible! We saw countless fish and vibrant coral reefs. We ended up staying in Semporna for eight or nine days. The sea fishing was fantastic! We actually caught fish – small groupers and redfish, medium-sized, and plenty for a delicious dinner! We even added an arm-long mantis shrimp to our meal. It was a perfect experience! I haven't fished in ages, and I was so surprised to actually catch fish here, especially since I'd rented a fishing boat on another island in a different country before and caught absolutely nothing."
