"The hotel reception has a tall, medium-built, slightly dark-skinned female staff member who speaks excellent Chinese and is very charming. Her service is exceptional; she understood all my requests and helped me resolve them. For this price, in my home country, I'd barely get a budget hotel, and not even a well-located one at that. But here, I got a large room with excellent service. I highly, highly recommend it! Everything was perfect except that the AC wasn't turned on before I checked in. Also, right across from the hotel entrance, after exiting the parking lot, is Central, so there's no need to walk around."

"We stayed in a room with direct pool access for 4 nights and had a very warm, welcoming hospitality experience overall. The staff were excellent, but the hotel itself and its facilities were a bit hit-and-miss. The property feels dated and could use some renovation—the buildings show discoloration, and there was mold in the bathroom along with an unpleasant odor, possibly from the septic system. One highlight was the complimentary minibar, which was replenished daily with water, soft drinks, Chang beer, whisky, vodka, gin, snacks, and even a lovely small dessert in the evening. Getting around can be a bit challenging without your own car or motorbike, especially for elderly guests, as the hotel is located on a hill about 15–20 minutes from the town center. There is a shuttle service to and from Jungceylon Shopping Mall, but it only runs every couple of hours and stops at 9 PM. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and I’d definitely recommend booking a rate that includes it. The rooftop bar and restaurant are a standout feature, with stunning panoramic ocean views and a great selection of drinks and cocktails."

"Very beautiful place to take good photo. Upon arrival, greet by a cheerful staff “BOY”, help us luggage’s and take photos of us, and he keep on making my mom laugh. He really enjoy his job! However , deal to peak season, need to wait until 2:30 for room ( check in time is 3pm). This is my mom 85 years old birthday trip, hotel arranged a birthday cake for us, and when we check out, a small handicraft souvenir received. Overall, very good place to stay . Only the shower is sometimes hot n cold, toilet ventilation is noisy and swimming pool is always full of guests. Better stay pool access room"

"The facilities of this hotel are fantastic and the location is good for the market and water park. However, the service was really disappointing. Upon arrival, we were told we were upgraded from a studio to a one bed which sounded great. However, the only difference between the rooms was an additional privacy screen which was stiff and difficult to move as well as being covered in smears and dirty. When we booked the hotel we were excited about the amenities including the free fitness classes. The QR code to book this took me to a link to pay for them so I messaged reception on the WhatsApp which they had informed could be used for “any questions”. The reception couldn’t help and didn’t give any advice other than go to the gym - we were on our way out and the class was at 9am the next day so we ran up there. There were no staff in the gym and the restaurant staff also couldnt advise as to where the staff were. We then walked down to reception for advice again - they told us go to the gym, we said we had done this and they then said wait until the class and just show up as they didn’t know the process to book. As a hotel that advertised the fascilities and gym classes it’s quite shocking that the reception wouldn’t be able to advise on the booking system - it genuinely felt like they didn’t want to help. Given the class was at 9am I didn’t want to just turn up in case there wasn’t space. After 10 mins back and forth they conceded and radio up to the gym and ask a staff member to be there. We then go up there again and the gym staff member ALSO didn’t know the proper booking process. Eventually they took our email addresses to add us to the list. This took an unnecessarily long time with a lot of run around and staff that really didn’t want to help us/know the internal processes - these are things I would expect any hotel staff to know as a minimum. We were originally looking at coming back to stay for a month or so in their apartments as the price is great however, the poor service and lack of knowledge of processes has meant that this hotel has lost a potential repeat customer."

"Beyond Patong — Excellent stay right at Patong Beach We stayed at Beyond Patong for 5 nights and had a great experience overall. Location: 10/10 The hotel is right at Patong Beach. You step out and you’re basically on the sand. Being this close to the beach saved us so much time. There’s also a 7-Eleven directly opposite the hotel, which was perfect for late night snacks, water, and essentials. Rooms: 10/10 The rooms are spacious and very clean. Housekeeping did a great job daily. All the amenities you’d expect were there: AC, safe, TV, good WiFi, and toiletries. The bed was comfortable and we slept well even with the beach nearby. The property itself is well maintained, from the lobby to the corridors. Facilities: 10/10 The highlight is the rooftop infinity pool. Great views of Patong and the Andaman Sea, especially at sunset. Pool area was clean and not too crowded. Staff & Service: 10/10 Staff was genuinely helpful. Check in was smooth, and they were quick with requests. You can tell the team is well trained. Overall If you want a clean, spacious, well maintained hotel steps from Patong Beach with a killer infinity pool and helpful staff, Beyond Patong is a solid choice. The 7-Eleven across the street is a bonus you’ll use more than you think. Would definitely stay again. Rating: 5/5"

"Our room faced the pool, which offered a great view! The hotel is a bit older, but overall it's pretty good, especially since it's so close to the beach. We went to the beach every evening, and the sunsets were absolutely stunning!"

"This is a pretty good hotel, very convenient for shopping and dining around. The breakfast was just okay, a bit limited in variety, but edible. There's a female staff member from Hunan who is really nice. She proactively helped me at the front desk during check-in. Also, during check-in, there were staff members who helped with luggage. I stayed in a deluxe pool room for 6 days. The room was on the side of the hotel's main pool, in a two-story building. Both the first and second floors are fine. When I checked in, I asked the front desk for a quieter room. They asked if I preferred the first or second floor, and I chose the second floor. They gave us room 2251, which is the third closest to the beach on the second floor of that building. The first picture shows the ocean view from the room's balcony. The overall room size is very generous; the advertised area is accurate. It's much more honest than The Akara Hotel in Pattaya, which was the worst hotel I stayed at during my half-month trip. The discrimination against Chinese guests there was evident in every aspect. I want to praise Trip.com. I booked the room over half a month in advance, costing more than ten thousand (including tax). Later, I found out the room price had dropped. Trip.com contacted the hotel for me, processed it, and promptly refunded several thousand in price difference."

"Stayed at Angsana again after our last stay 10 years ago. Although certain aspects, such has the TV, air conditioner control, kids room decor and certain parts of the interconnected pool feels a bit dated, the spacious environment and excellent and friendly staff make Angsana one of our most memorable hotel resort. We stayed in a room with a king bed and added an extra bed for our family of 4 (would be even better if the rooms actually had such extra bed as a permanent room option as the room was definitely big enough). Great restaurant food choices at reasonable prices. Our mini fridge had an issue of freezing and shattering the hotel provided glass water bottle everyday, but the staff came to clean up and replaced the bottle everyday. Saw some other rooms have a clothing drying rack on their balcony, which could have been useful if we had it in our room as well. The sand at the beach was very nice and would have been better if life jackets for both adults and children were easily available. There were also for washing stations in the shape of frog statues at locations where you may be returning to the building after going into sand, but it would be better if these had better signage and fixed alignment as it would get shifted and not spray out water properly as other guests may move the frog throughout the day. The hotel beach can easily access the neighboring local restaurant/bar with even more affordable pricing. The short ride by Grab/taxi to Boat Avenue is well worth it with a proper supermarket (Canal Village only has a small essentials-only mini mart) and lots of restaurants and spa/massage places. Another note, as the entire hotel has breakfast buffet at the Marketplace restaurant, it gets crowded fast from around 9am (and the egg station would have a long wait). Definitely recommend staying at Angsana for overall experience/quality/value for money/pricing."

"The hotel is advertised as having a gourmet restaurant, but in my opinion the food did not quite meet gourmet standards. That said, we booked a sea-facing unit and the view was absolutely magnificent — very peaceful and calming. Kamala Beach in general is a quieter area, which we really appreciated. There is a shuttle service provided, but the timing is quite limited. Given the price guests pay for this hotel, it would be better to have more frequent shuttle services instead of fixed timings. That said, it only takes about 10 minutes to walk from the hotel to the main street where there are many shops and restaurants, so it is still manageable. One issue we faced was that there was no clear sign or button in the room to indicate housekeeping service, and as a result, we ended up not having housekeeping during our stay. The phone line in the room also needs attention, as there was noticeable disturbance noise when calling reception. Overall, it is a nice place to stay with beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere, but there are some service and maintenance areas that management could improve further."

"Out of the three hotels I stayed at in Phuket, this one had the most impressive common areas. They were beautifully shaded by lush greenery with winding paths creating a serene atmosphere. The private villa I stayed in, with direct pool access, was spacious. It featured a squarish living room, a separate walk-in closet, and a bedroom with a sliding door that offered great privacy. While the breakfast spread wasn't particularly luxurious and offered similar options to most hotels in the same category, both the hot and cold dishes were surprisingly delicious. The typical Thai garden design combined with the pool creates a very chill and vacation-like ambiance. The pool bar also had a buy-one-get-one-free happy hour from 2-4 PM, and all the foreigners were lounging by the pool instead of going out 😂. The downside is that, probably due to the abundance of greenery, there were quite a few mosquitoes. You definitely need to use the mosquito coils provided in the room and regularly apply mosquito repellent! On the second afternoon of my stay, the old air conditioner in the living room leaked, but it was promptly fixed. The quick response was appreciated, and it's a minor flaw considering the hotel's age. Overall, the service was excellent. On the day of check-in, I had a 1 PM island hopping tour booked, and while I couldn't check in before the official 2 PM time, the front desk was very nice and lent me towels to use beforehand. At check-out, I almost forgot to claim my deposit, but they proactively reminded me to get it back, 👍."
