"My child attends high school in Chengde, and whenever there's a monthly break, we always stay at this hotel. What I appreciate most is the self-service laundry room, which is great for washing my child's clothes. The front desk staff are also happy to help with laundry, and their service is incredibly warm and enthusiastic – definitely five stars. The hotel has its own restaurant, making dining very convenient, and the food tastes great. The surrounding environment is superb, very quiet, and the rooms have excellent soundproofing, which is perfect for my child to study. The room's cleanliness is impeccable, and the bed is very comfortable with just the right firmness. My child wasn't up for breakfast, so I got some for them – it was quite abundant, with freshly made noodles and a variety of drinks. Very comprehensive! Before checking out, the front desk even gave us two bottles of water. Overall, the environment, cleanliness, and service are all outstanding. See you next month!"

I went before the 7 day holiday and during it. Was way more expensive during it but still amazing Modern, friendly, great bathrooms, customer service and an insane breakfast Wife mentioned we are repeat customers and they gave us free spa coupon which was great."

"The hotel is right in the city center, safe, clean, and very affordable during the off-season. It's really close to the Mountain Resort, just a short walk away. The lobby even offers hot tea, which is a really thoughtful touch. Charlie provided excellent and attentive service, and the front desk even gave us some snacks. Very satisfied!"

We stayed in an Executive King Room and were pleasantly surprised to receive two complimentary bath vouchers. After enjoying the bathing service, all the fatigue from our journey instantly melted away. In the evening, we dined at the hotel's Chinese restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. We were extremely satisfied. Overall, our stay at Zhaofeng International Hotel was a perfect experience and truly added a wonderful touch to our trip to Chengde."

As for the room it was spotless and even though we got given a smoking room it didn't smell. All in all pleasant experience."

"Our stay was fantastic! The hotel's location is super convenient, right next to a bus stop, making it easy to get around and find places to eat. The room was spotless and tidy, and the bedding was so soft and comfortable that I slept soundly all night. "Very satisfied. Because it was the off-season, the price was very cheap, making it excellent value for money. The hotel opened in October 2025. The lobby smelled wonderful as soon as you entered. The rooms were large and clean, and the bedding was very comfortable. I ran into the same female staff member several times; she was always smiling, which made me feel happy. The breakfast was also quite delicious. There is a large private parking lot, suitable for those driving. Just remember, the road outside the hotel is a one-way street, friends! There's a sign at the parking lot entrance, but I didn't notice and drove the wrong way (⩌ - ⩌ )."

"Seriously recommending this to anyone looking for a place to unwind! It truly exceeded expectations! The owner, a kind uncle, was wonderful. He even gave me two glasses of his homemade aged liquor during dinner, which was incredibly mellow and delicious – thank you! He mentioned that after some guests last year commented on outdated facilities, they invested heavily in a full renovation, and asked me to be sure to pass that on to the review section, hahaha. Here's my genuine stay experience: I was initially worried about the road, but it was paved all the way, and we drove directly from the highway to the guesthouse, so the location is excellent. The room had an amazing view. During the day, you could see the courtyard and mountains, and in the evening, the sunset glow, with village smoke rising – it was incredibly picturesque! We hiked around the village, passing streams, farmlands, and sheep. Strolling leisurely to the wellhead, I felt completely refreshed. Both old and young would have a great time here. Food and service were also completely on point. Portions were generous, and the food tasted great, with thoughtfulness evident in every detail. Escaping the city's hustle and bustle and spending a couple of days here felt like being completely recharged. It was so comfortable! Absolutely great value for money."
