"The hotel's facilities are a bit old, but they are still clean and tidy. The location is very close to the Mountain Resort, and it's convenient for dining and shopping. The hotel itself has limited parking, so during peak season, you might need to park on a nearby side street. Despite these minor flaws, service quality is definitely the top priority in the hospitality industry. Every staff member was incredibly enthusiastic and attentive, from proactively reaching out to add a personal concierge, to helping with luggage, assisting with parking, and providing travel advice – they were meticulously thorough in every detail. While the hardware facilities might not earn a perfect score, their work attitude absolutely deserves a five-star rating."

"My child attends high school in Chengde, and whenever there's a monthly break, we always stay at this hotel. What I appreciate most is the self-service laundry room, which is great for washing my child's clothes. The front desk staff are also happy to help with laundry, and their service is incredibly warm and enthusiastic – definitely five stars. The hotel has its own restaurant, making dining very convenient, and the food tastes great. The surrounding environment is superb, very quiet, and the rooms have excellent soundproofing, which is perfect for my child to study. The room's cleanliness is impeccable, and the bed is very comfortable with just the right firmness. My child wasn't up for breakfast, so I got some for them – it was quite abundant, with freshly made noodles and a variety of drinks. Very comprehensive! Before checking out, the front desk even gave us two bottles of water. Overall, the environment, cleanliness, and service are all outstanding. See you next month!"

"The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, and the staff were incredibly warm and attentive. We stayed in an Executive King Room and were pleasantly surprised to receive two complimentary bath vouchers. After enjoying the bathing service, all the fatigue from our journey instantly melted away. In the evening, we dined at the hotel's Chinese restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. We were extremely satisfied. Overall, our stay at Zhaofeng International Hotel was a perfect experience and truly added a wonderful touch to our trip to Chengde."

"A great hotel for families - quiet and peaceful. The suite was very large with 2 separate rooms and a nice balcony. The ”panda theme” was a big hit with my kids. They loved it. There were free water bottles, coffee and tea in the room. The overall cleanliness was excellent - a very clean bathroom and shower, sparkling white linens and towels. The only negative in regards to cleaning was the floor - it was mopped but visibly not clean. My kids' feet were black after walking on the floor for just half an hour. That could be an improvement. The beds are pretty hard - good for those who enjoy it. The staff service was great. We overslept breakfast time and the front desk called the restaurant and asked them to wait for us so we could eat. The location is also very convenient with free car parking. We would definitely stay again."

"This was my first time in Chengde, and after comparing several hotels, I chose this one. The location is close to the city center, though it's on a hillside. However, entering the hotel from the north gate is very convenient. The hotel's facilities and service are excellent. The staff greeted us with smiles, were warm and attentive, and politely welcomed us upon check-in and departure. The front desk even gave a gift of candy to our child, which felt more personal than what you get at some so-called five-star hotels. It happened to be my mother's birthday during our trip, so we arranged her birthday dinner at the hotel's Chinese restaurant on the second floor. The food was just as good as the Xin Qianlong restaurant we'd eaten at the day before. The hotel even helped decorate the private room, making the birthday celebration more festive. I've traveled to many places and stayed in all kinds of hotels, but the service and warmth here were outstanding in every aspect. I'd like to give them a thumbs-up and say thank you!"

"Love this place ! Stayed 3 separate times. Once last year and twice this year. Nicest hotel so far in china I’ve been to. Honestly can’t beat this hotel for the price. I went before the 7 day holiday and during it. Was way more expensive during it but still amazing Modern, friendly, great bathrooms, customer service and an insane breakfast Wife mentioned we are repeat customers and they gave us free spa coupon which was great."

Although it's in a bustling area, the hotel rooms are surprisingly quiet, with modern and complete facilities. However, not all rooms have a mini-bar, so if you need one, it's best to carefully compare room types in advance. The service was incredibly thoughtful and warm; since it was my birthday, the hotel even thoughtfully sent a small cake and a fruit plate, and also gave a souvenir when I left. Many thanks! The surrounding environment of the hotel is a bit messy, but that's not the hotel's fault. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay."
