"We chose this hotel for its location – it’s right across the road from the seaport and only 7 minutes from the airport. Perfect for a layover or an early flight, that’s a huge plus. The hotel itself is new (or recently renovated), you can tell by the paintwork and furniture. The bedding is good, the room isn't tiny, and the shower is relatively spacious. The air conditioning blows powerfully. Nearby, in the building next door, there's a Watsons (cosmetics, all sorts of useful bits and bobs) and a 7/11 across the street – handy if you've forgotten something and need it urgently. On the downside, there's the food. There are absolutely no cafes nearby. It's either a local greasy spoon with trans fats (like a local KFC) or hot dogs from 7/11. You couldn't stay here for a week, but for an overnight stay – it's fine. There's no kettle in the room. You'd think it's no big deal since there's a water cooler on the floor. BUT! The hot water in the cooler on our floor wasn't working, so we had to go down the stairs to the next floor for boiling water. A minor inconvenience, but annoying. The next downside is the water in the shower. In the evening, there's simply none. Neither cold nor hot – just a drip, as if someone decided to save money. Want to wash up after your journey? Wait until 5 AM. That's when the water pressure wakes up with the roosters. (No kidding, that's what we did!) And then there's the elevator – that's a whole other story. Folks, it's a nightmare. The elevator constantly gets stuck and breaks down. We had to lug our huge suitcases up and down the stairs from the fourth floor – that was annoying enough. But in the morning, when we needed to leave urgently for the airport, we got stuck in the elevator with our suitcases. Just like a bad movie! I have a panic fear of getting stuck, and here we were, pressed for time, and thoughts of 'what if it's for a long time?' started creeping in. Anyway, thanks for fixing it, but it left a significant bad taste. Verdict: This hotel is a one-time stay – if you need to be close to the port and the airport. But only if you're lucky with the water and the elevator doesn't decide to give you an extreme experience. Management, the elevator is no laughing matter, it's a safety issue, please take action!!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at Acqua. It’s located slightly away from the hustle and bustle of Station 1/2 beach so it’s lovely and quiet, but it’s still really close to everything (~5min trike ride). Service and staff at the hotel are exceptional. Everything is kept clean and neat at all times. The only minor downside is the beach - I wish the algae wasn’t coming quite so close to the shore to allow for a swim. We just ended up going to the other side of the island most days. Highly recommend pool in the afternoon - it gets nice and shaded after ~4pm. Overall, super happy with our stay."

"Had a wonderful 1-night stay at La Carmela de Boracay! Even though it was a short trip, I got some amazing rest. I slept for three hours right after checking in and another solid eight hours at night because the bed was so comfortable.The room was very clean, and all the amenities—the air conditioner, TV, and refrigerator—were working perfectly. I also loved that the room had its own private terrace and even included a Bible. While I didn't get a chance to try the pool, the hotel’s location is excellent since it is just a short walk to the beach. Highly recommended for a comfortable and relaxing stay! And thank you trip.com for giving promo and I got a chance to stay in this hotel."

"Fascinating!! One of the best resorts we have ever been to, away from all the city noises and in the beautiful Filipino nature. Top class amenities and wonderful service. Staff are super nice and friendly and won’t hesitate to help you and the owner Andrew is very accommodating and nice. Alot of fun activities to do here our personal favorites are Kayaking and Snorkeling in the private beach. Oh yeah did I forget to mention you have access to a Private beach ? In addition to that a nice swimming pool in the heart of the resort in front of the restaurant. Food was also delicious with a good selection of both local and international cuisine at affordable prices. Beef tapa was my personal favorite, I would definitely recommend it. Also around the corner from the resort you have access to a white sand beach and more places to eat and explore. Easy 10/10 for us. We will be back soon for sure !"

"If you want a quiet place to stay away from the public and good value for money, this is the place for you! But you do need to pass through many stairs to get to the beach and climb back up, but definitely worth the it! Customer service is good, can be better, but it’s good. Overall, I had a great stay for my trip! I got to the get the peace I want away from the crowd."

"I had the most beautiful stay at the hotel. Everything about the place is beautiful. The people are amazing and have beautiful hearts. Always smiling and assisting me. They literally became a family. The hotel has a restaurant, swimming pool with a view, area is quite and far from the traffic. For a person like me who prefers tranquility, it was a perfect place. They offer a shuttle rides"

"The hotel is in a good localization because just few meters from Dmall, place with supermarket, restaurant, massage and stores. Also from a good part of the beach. The staffs are gentle, always smiling. But they could be more pro active saying that the transfer to go back to airport MUST to be request one day before that you are leaving the hotel, even when your fly is at night. They asked to us to find a way back to airport by yourselves. Sometimes the staff forgot to replace face towel the good part they didn't in the last day of check out, because probably the hotel should ask as to pay for it."

"Hotel room doesn't have its own bathroom. Location wise it is very near the center of kalibo. Staffs are friendly. Room was clean enough. A bit of letdown was the absence of a private bathroom had to use a common one outside down the hallway."

"I recently stayed at Grand Boracay Resort, and its biggest advantage is easily the location. It is probably one of the best locations on the entire island. Being right in D'Mall means you can walk almost everywhere and rarely need to pay for public transportation or e-trikes. The Deluxe Rooms are just okay, 6/10 in my opinion. They are spacious enough for 2 to 4 people, which is great for families or small groups. However, the mini fridge was empty, and if you want drinks or snacks, you need to purchase them at the reception near the entrance. The 2 beds for two people was just about adequate but definitely on the smaller side. It was manageable for a short stay (5-7 days), but couples who prefer more sleeping space may find it a bit cramped. The curtains provide good privacy, so nobody can see inside the room, but they do not block much sunlight. Also, since many rooms face walkways, you will hear people passing by outside, and the noise can be a bit distracting throughout the day. Cleanliness was acceptable, around 6.5 to 7 out of 10. The property feels quite old-fashioned and could use some modernization, but that is also reflected in the reasonable room rates considering the prime location. Overall, if you are looking for an affordable place in the heart of Boracay and mainly need a room to sleep, shower, and change before heading back out, Grand Boracay Resort is a solid choice. If you are expecting a modern, comfortable, resort-style experience with luxurious amenities and Instagram-worthy rooms, this is probably not the right hotel for you."
