"Traveling on a rainy day is indeed inconvenient, but there are definitely fewer people around. The hotel service was excellent and satisfactory. Its location was convenient for pickups and drop-offs. It was clean, quiet, and offered great value for money at this price. Very satisfied! A taxi from Guilin West Station to the hotel cost 45 yuan. Waiting for a ride-hailing service takes too long, and you often can't even get a booking, which I assume is common at any high-speed rail station. To get to Elephant Trunk Hill, use Entrance 3. Don't waste time going to Entrance 1, as you'll only see the elephant's backside. The one-hour Four Rivers cruise for 80 yuan per person isn't really worth it, unless you have an excess of time and nothing else to do. I recommend visiting Liu Sanjie's Former Residence instead! The cable car offers beautiful views of the 'A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains' scenery."

"If you are still looking for a hotel in Guilin, you can stop searching I rarely write such detailed reviews but this place really deserves it Everything here is amazing - from the location to the service. Every little detail is carefully thought out to make your stay comfortable, relaxing, and stress-free The staff impressed me the most. They notice small details and truly care about guests. At first, I was surprised that even staff members I had never met before already knew my room number. It was a little funny and unexpected 😄 But like this you understand the high level of the service Everyone was so kind to me and always ready to help 🥺 Even if someone doesn’t speak English, they quickly use a translator and do their best to solve any problem The room is beautiful and very comfortable. The bed and pillows are probably one of my favorite parts of the stay - I honestly did not want to leave them! The room has everything you need for a relaxing stay, including nice Chinese tea, coffee, and many small details that make you feel at home like bath salt. Another very useful detail for travelers is the free self-service laundry. When you travel for a longer time, having a place where you can easily wash your clothes is a huge advantage The breakfast was also a wonderful surprise. While traveling around China, I often found that hotel breakfasts were mostly focused on Chinese food, which can sometimes be difficult for international travelers. Here, there is also a great Western breakfast with enough choices Another amazing part is the number of complimentary experiences included in the stay. Fresh fruits every day, afternoon drinks with desserts, cultural activities, and more. Sometimes there are so many things to enjoy that you don’t even want to leave the hotel😅 I especially loved the Chinese calligraphy experience. Writing calligraphy while two lovely parrots sometimes came to sit on my shoulder felt like a real journey into traditional Chinese culture. You can also create small handmade souvenirs, which makes the experience even more memorable The location is perfect, with incredible mountain views all around. And one small detail that I really appreciated: the panoramic windows are always perfectly clean. In many hotels, beautiful views are ruined by dirty windows, but here you can fully enjoy the scenery P.S.: just one small suggestion it would be great to have a “Do not disturb” sign. Some guests may want to have some private time and make sure that nobody enters the room"

"We had a beautiful stay at Secret Courtyard Resort Hotel! The hotel is beautiful, well equipped with everything we needed - fresh water and towels everyday, option to chose between Chinese and Western breakfast and delicious fruits. Xiaoming was so nice to give us the e-bikes to drive around Guilin for free and we enjoyed using them a lot! If we had any questions about the area or needed a ticket for the li yang river cruise he immediately took care of it for us. We had also had a pickup from the train station so we didn’t need to find the way to the resort on our own. It was a wonderful stay. Thanks so much from the young German man, who looks like an old German man and his girlfriend ☀️"

"As other guests have mentioned, the hotel's exterior is unassuming, but the rooms are great – clean, comfortable, with good water pressure in the shower, and individually adjustable air conditioning. The breakfast is also good, offering a decent variety for the price. The service here is the main highlight; they are very helpful and ready to answer any questions. The breakfast staff, in particular, greet everyone who walks in. It's about 600 meters from Xiangshan Scenic Area, so you can easily walk there, which is very convenient. Parking can be a bit tricky, but the hotel staff offers valet parking."

"Overall, the environment is quite good. There's Seven Star Park nearby, and plenty of snack shops around. Transportation is also convenient. The lobby fragrance is quite pleasant. The service is proactive, warm, and polite. They are diligent and responsible, asking about your needs in advance and trying their best to accommodate them. It's quite suitable for business trips. The room space is ample, it's very quiet at night, and the cleanliness is excellent. Although the facilities aren't brand new, you can tell they put effort into maintenance and upkeep. The breakfast offers Guilin rice noodles, which taste decent, although the selection isn't extensive, the flavor is good. Breakfast runs until 11 AM, which is a big plus! The hotel has robots, making it very convenient for ordering takeout. I chose this hotel randomly, and the price was great during the off-season. The hotel has parking, which is convenient if you're driving, and it offers great value for money. I really like Guilin, and I'll definitely come back if I have the chance."

"Heshe Hotel stands as one of the finest resorts for accommodation in Guilin. Their hospitality, culinary offerings, ambiance, and staff are all exceptionally delightful and helpful. Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by amazing front desk attendant, Melody. She assisted us through out our stay and made sure we’re comfortable and well taken care of and our tour guide, Eric, who communicated fluently in English, significantly easing our experience as non-Chinese speakers. The owner was equally gracious, sharing their barbecue with us, creating a sense of homeliness. This hotel is located just 15 minutes from the main tourist attractions, with rooms that are very clean and offer breathtaking views. I am definitely coming back again."

"Our stay at this hotel was absolutely fantastic! The front desk service was incredibly thoughtful and welcoming. Staff greeted us with smiles, processed our check-in quickly, and even proactively asked about our needs. When the weather was hot, they thoughtfully prepared fresh fruit (crisp plums) and iced drinks (sour plum juice, lemonade) in the lobby for guests to enjoy at any time. The room was clean and tidy, with dust-free floors and fresh bedding. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area and was well-equipped (hair dryer, toiletries). The kids absolutely loved the tent and ride-on toy in the room, and there was plenty of space for them to play freely. On the 10th floor, there's a dedicated kids' play area with slides, a ball pit, and a picture book corner, which the children thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, we were very satisfied."

"The hotel room's location couldn't be better! The view of Elephant Trunk Hill from the hotel is even more complete than from within the scenic area itself. Getting around is super convenient, and the hotel thoughtfully provided a list of great local restaurants. The breakfast was unexpectedly lavish! There was even a towel elephant made by the staff in the room, which was absolutely adorable! 😍"

"This hotel offers exceptional service for its price point. Upon arrival, someone immediately assisted us with our luggage, and the lovely front desk staff escorted us to our room. The service was effortlessly attentive whenever we needed anything. I also have to commend the breakfast – the live kitchen cooked fresh dishes on the spot, with no shortcuts taken, and refills were prompt. We visited on a weekday, and they didn't compromise on food quality just because there were fewer guests. The rice noodles were delicious! Every breakfast item showcased local specialties while maintaining great flavor. They even had freshly grilled steaks, and the chefs were all smiles, which really brightened our day. It was very hot in Guilin in July, and my child spent an hour in the 5th-floor pool. They thoughtfully activated the wave machine for us! Even though the pool is small, it was perfectly adequate for kids to have fun, and they provided inner tubes and kickboards. The room itself was even better – we had a direct view of the Twin Pagodas. It rained that evening in Guilin, and the Twin Pagodas in the rain were absolutely stunning. I must praise the sofa on the balcony; it was incredibly comfortable! You could practically sleep on it – not those stiff, uncomfortable types of sofas, which shows real attention to detail. The room offered views of the Twin Pagodas, the lake, and the surrounding mountains in the distance; the scenery was breathtaking! This will definitely be our first choice next time we visit Guilin!"
