"This was my second stay, but overall, it wasn't as good as the first time. When I checked in, the front desk told me that the king-size room I originally booked was full and they'd upgraded me to a round bed room. I figured there wouldn't be much difference, so I agreed. However, when I got to the room and tried to use the key card, it wouldn't open. I called the front desk, and they said the card probably hadn't been activated properly. I had to wait a few minutes outside the door, which was quite inconvenient. Also, in the round bed room, the power outlets near the headboard were too far away, making it really hard to charge my devices 😓. These issues were somewhat acceptable, but then around 9 AM the next morning, the landline in the room rang unexpectedly. I'm not sure if it was the front desk or someone else, but it really disrupted my sleep. The soundproofing wasn't great either; I kept hearing loud noises from the hallway. Next time I'm in Tongren, I'll definitely have to reconsider staying at this hotel."

"The room was okay, the hot water tap was large and the shower was fine, but the air conditioner was terrible, which was disappointing 😞. Although it's a Gree air conditioner, for some reason, after being turned on for 15 minutes, it would display an E1 error message and wouldn't start again. We had to manually turn it off and on again. We went to the front desk to report the problem, and the owner came to the room, unplugged it, and then turned it back on, saying to contact us again if it didn't work. But it stopped working again after 15 minutes. By then it was already 11 pm, and we needed to drive the next day, so we couldn't contact the owner again. But we couldn't sleep without air conditioning, so we had to turn it on and off 5-6 times. We spent the whole night struggling with the air conditioner and couldn't sleep. Gree is a well-known brand, and we also use Gree at home, and we've never had this problem. Could it be intentional to save electricity? Before booking the room, I specifically called the hotel to ask if the air conditioner was working properly, and they said it was. But after checking in, the air conditioner is malfunctioning. I wonder how the hotel will handle its customers? Secondly, the parking lot was far from the hotel and located on the second basement level. After parking, we struggled to walk up the driveway with our luggage, and were exhausted by the time we got back to the hotel. In short, the air conditioning and parking experience were terrible."

"This stay, I specifically chose to experience the hotel's 1.35m twin room, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations – I just have to rave about it! The room felt incredibly spacious, not cramped at all. The two 1.35m beds were arranged with plenty of room, allowing two people to move around freely, spread out luggage, and personal items without feeling squeezed or confined. The biggest surprise was the floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the entire room. They offered incredible light and an expansive feel, flooding the room with natural light during the day and providing a wide-open view. In the evening, you could enjoy the scenery outside, creating a fantastic photo opportunity and ambiance. All the in-room facilities were complete and well-maintained; the air conditioning, bathroom, and storage cabinets all functioned perfectly with no signs of age or damage. Cleanliness was absolutely impeccable. The floors, bedding, and vanity were spotless, without a speck of dust even in the corners and crevices. The bathroom had excellent wet/dry separation with no standing water or odors, and the bedding was soft and pristine. It's clear that housekeeping does a meticulous and thorough job. The front desk service was warm and attentive, making the check-in process quick and hassle-free. The room's soundproofing was also excellent, ensuring a very quiet and restful stay. The value for money is outstanding, making it perfect for traveling with a companion or staying with a friend. The environment, facilities, and cleanliness are all top-notch. "Pretty good. It's very close to the train station, which was convenient since I arrived late that evening and needed to head to Fanjing Mountain early the next morning. The hotel is also very close to the bus station, and the shuttle bus to the scenic area picks up right outside. My only complaint is that after checking out in the morning, I waited for the bus and suddenly felt unwell (my own issue, really). I went back to the front desk to ask if I could use a restroom, and the staff member just told me there wasn't one available and to find one outside. Where was I supposed to go? It felt like once I checked out, I was no longer a guest. A bit frustrating. 😮💨"

I booked very early to stay 9 nights to rest from the 5/1 busy holiday crowd for my one month travel in this region of China. The first week of my stay turned out to be a wonderful encounter of sorts. Two different ladies I met during my Feb trip to Shaxi, Yunnan decided to join me in Xingyi during their 5/1 holiday. I explained my new stay situation to the lady owner and very readily she arranged for us to stay in the 3 bedroom during their visit and move me back to my original booking after they left. Her flexibility and adaptability is impressive. We hit it off immediately and my 2 friends from different parts of China also experienced her kindness and super hospitality. All of us also received a thoughtful parting gift from her. Because the homestay was firstly built as a home, all amenities you can think of for a comfortable home is in each room. There is a good brand water purifier that emits drinking water at useful set temperatures for boiling, coffee, baby or room. There is a fridge within the room and any extra cookwares can be provided as needed. The room is also a Smarthome, I was delighted that xiaoai tongxue could understand my weird Chinese pronunciation. The bed and furnishings are top notched. I slept very well and deeply every night. I also used the Haier washing machine, make sure not to pour too much washing detergent as it is a high efficent machine. I am very grateful to be invited for meals whenever I'm at my room. It was very heart warming to witness the big heartedness of the lady owner. She gave me the feeling of coming home to a family that I never knew I have. I felt rested and so much at ease staying at this beautiful home that I was dragging my feet when it is time to leave. I think for my future travels, I will consider visiting for at least a week's rest, since its location is so accessible via either airport or highspeed train station. There is also a medical wellness shop next door. Best way to fully experience the life at this homestay is to show up for a free foot soak to understand the traditional chinese medicine concept of wellness and talk to their customers to learn of their recovery experiences. In summary, I highly recommend this homestay when you want to rest in a well designed city like Xingyi and to experience the friendliness of Guizhou people. The weather in Xingyi is also very conducive for good living. A good life should be lived and experienced like this; everyday making a point to eat well together, having good conversations and laughs, with love. Here, the connections are real.

This price can live in such a clean, service-friendly room in the scenic spot, and the price/performance ratio is directly full. The location is also convenient, not far from Qinglongtan and Wuyan Bridge, you can walk to the hiking entrance in a few minutes. This is my second time staying at Manhui Sujia Hotel, and I'm not disappointed. The hotel not only provides free coffee, juice, milk tea, facial masks and eye masks, but also free use of washing machines and dryers. The lounge area at the front desk is also very thoughtful. The hotel also has a homemade guide for reference. It is really friendly for foreign tourists. The sanitation is super clean and tidy, even the dead corners are cleaned very well. The service of the lady at the front desk is super good and super enthusiastic. After sending us to the room, she also introduced us how to use the facilities in the room. It's so thoughtful. I highly recommend it, highly recommend it, and I say it three times because it's important. I will bring my friends with me next time.

The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming, personally picking us up at a designated spot and dropping us off at a convenient location for transport when we left. The hotel has a very pleasant environment. It features a balcony overlooking the river, offering beautiful night views. Located within the scenic area, it's very close to all the attractions. I highly recommend staying here. Right opposite the hotel entrance, there's also a breakfast shop offering delicious and affordable options.

Definitely a room with a river view! Opening the curtains and seeing Zhusheng Bridge right in front of you was absolutely amazing. It's super close to the ancient town entrance. The staff (likely referring to the owner/host) had an excellent service attitude, and there's free parking. The room was clean, tidy, comfortable, and bright, with plenty of hot water in the shower. Staying here made visiting Zhenyuan Ancient Town incredibly convenient!
