"I had an early morning flight from Kuala Lumpur to Kunming, followed by a morning train from Kunming to Dali, so obviously my energy was completely drained. However, the moment I arrived at this hotel on 27 May 2026, the warm welcome from the staff instantly made me feel better. They even allowed me to check in early so I could rest and kindly offered me breakfast too, which I truly appreciated after the long journey. The hotel is super strategically located inside Dali Old Town — very easy to find, surrounded by everything, and honestly super cute! My room was amazing and so comfortable that I had one of the deepest sleeps ever to recover from the exhaustion! Before leaving, I even gifted my Nike Air Force sneakers, which were still in good condition, to one of the hotel staff. Hopefully they fit him well! 😄 Totally recommended this hotel if you’re visiting Dali."

"Choosing Yan Yun Hotel was absolutely the best decision for my trip to Dali. My only regret is that I only booked one night and had to leave so soon. The environment here is absolutely stunning, and the service is top-notch. The breakfast was delicious, and they even offered a complimentary afternoon tea set. The staff were incredibly warm and helpful. They also provide electric shuttle service for getting in and out. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Dali!"

"The room was clean and tidy. It was really cold in Dali during the May Day holiday due to the rain, but luckily the air conditioning had a heating function, which was great! It's very close to the South Gate of Dali Ancient City, about a four-minute walk. The owner was incredibly warm and friendly, helping us carry our luggage both ways. When we left, they even gave us flower cakes!"

"The location is very nice, just a couple of minutes walk from the ancient town. The service are really good, the hotel staff gave us an informative breakdown on tips when visiting Dali, carried our luggage to our rooms, and even brought us some fresh fruit and some flower pastries that were all very tasty. The breakfast is tasty and always ready on time and our overall stay was with great hospitality."

"Seriously, Erhai Lake is right outside the door! And getting around is quite convenient, it's easy to hail a taxi. You do need to walk out a bit to catch a taxi, but it's not far. They offer pick-up and drop-off services for both check-in and check-out, which is great. It's also super convenient for cycling around Erhai Lake; just a short walk ahead and you'll find bike-sharing stations. The owners are all very friendly too, and the room is very clean."

"After so many days in Yunnan, this B&B was by far the best place I've stayed. The environment is lovely; I could see the ocean right from my window. There's an outdoor balcony with a rocking chair, and the curtains are smart-controlled. Inside, there's a bathtub, a fridge, and a dressing table, which was convenient for doing my makeup. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area and a smart toilet. Most importantly, the service was exceptional. Whenever I called the front desk, I received an immediate response. They even gave me a small gift even though I only stayed one night. It was a fantastic experience, and if I ever come back to Dali, I'd definitely choose this place again! 🥰🫶🏻"

"I've been to Dali many times, and each time I try a different guesthouse. This time, the platform recommended ”Yan Chuanshu Inn” based on my preferences, and I was drawn to it at first sight. It's located in the heart of Dali Old Town, in a relatively new area, and it's very quiet. What I absolutely loved was that the guesthouse has three adorable British Shorthair cats! Maikou is a chubby one who loves to lie on the floor and act cute. Tiechui is a Scottish Fold kitten, very clingy, and has the best personality. Gangdan is a British Blue cat, independent and very wary, lively and mischievous – as expected, you can only pet him when he's in a good mood [lol][lol]. Despite that, I still adore them, haha. My stay here was completely therapeutic because of the cats, and also because of the attentive service from the guesthouse owner. The owner has a great demeanor, and the service was impeccable. She helped me with my luggage and, knowing it was our first time exploring Dali, recommended some delicious and reasonably priced food spots in the Old Town [munch][munch]. Furthermore, the room I booked was really spacious, and the bed was huge – a Stressless brand, super comfortable! The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the overall cleanliness was excellent. The cleaning auntie tidied my room daily. The guesthouse courtyard has many flowers and plants, and the rooftop offers beautiful views of Cangshan Mountain ⛰️⛰️. I especially loved going up there in the evening. All in all, the accommodation I chose for this trip was truly wonderful. I think I'll recommend it to my friends next time～[heart][heart]"

"The hotel room was spacious and quite smart, facing Erhai Lake, which was very comfortable. The staff were all very enthusiastic. After I checked out, I accidentally left some clothes behind, and they contacted me promptly to help me mail them back. I'm very grateful! The breakfast had both Chinese and Western options and was plentiful!"
