"This was the worst value-for-money hotel on our Sanya-Haikou-Wanning-Lingshui trip. The room cost over 2,000 yuan, but it felt like it was only worth 700-800 yuan. We didn't get our room until 4:30 PM, and a whole crowd of people were waiting impatiently. They offered afternoon tea, which consisted of only a few cakes (some even seemed moldy), stale fruit, and three drinks (two of which were not fresh squeezed juice). The water park was tiny and couldn't compare to Atlantis. The indoor kids' playground was large but lacked interesting facilities and some were a bit old. The hotel is divided into East and West Wings. The sky pool and water world are on the West Wing, but we were assigned to the East Wing. Due to the hotel's design, it was a very long walk to get anywhere. The breakfast selection was decent, nothing special. As for service, there was generally no proactive service, but they did fulfill guests' requests. Overall, it doesn't have the standard of a star-rated hotel; it's more like a slightly larger guesthouse. It's miles away from Atlantis. I definitely won't be coming back. I didn't attach photos because the experience was so bad I didn't even feel like taking any. Oh, and the complimentary photo shoot we were offered didn't happen due to bad weather, and the hotel showed no intention of offering any compensation. I usually don't bother leaving reviews unless I'm extremely satisfied or extremely disappointed."

"This was the best hotel we stayed at during our Hainan trip this summer! The family suite at Lanhaiju was perfectly situated with a direct view of the Freedom Lighthouse! I had thought it was a pure garden view room, so I was thrilled to see the lighthouse in the distance as soon as I entered. Not only the room view, but all areas of the hotel are fantastic backdrops for photos! Access to the hotel grounds and beach requires a booking confirmation or room key card, indicating very strict management. The breakfast was excellent, no complaints there. We found different delicious options each of the three mornings, and the à la carte menu also varied daily. The dinner beach BBQ buffet, with its setting at the filming location of 'Lost in the Stars' and the lighthouse, offered an amazing ambiance. My only suggestion would be to increase the variety of dishes. Stepping out the back door of the hotel leads directly to a private, quiet, and clean beach with fine sand and a gentle slope. If it weren't so hot, I could have easily spent the whole day just relaxing there! During our stay, our dedicated butler Chloe was incredibly responsive to our needs every day, almost instantly replying whether it was day or night. She worked very hard! Three days just wasn't enough; we'll definitely be back next summer!"

"This hotel is perfect for families traveling with older kids who plan to drive and participate in activities like surfing, off-roading, and fruit picking in Lingshui. The hotel's pool is big enough for the kids to splash around after a long day. Plus, the underwater scooters here are cheaper than those at resorts in Yalong Bay and Haitang Bay. The breakfast offers great value for money, and you can tell the chef puts a lot of effort into it, with some unique options. Of course, when you're looking for value, you don't expect meticulous service. During my stay, it happened to be my birthday. I hesitated for a while about whether to stay here on my birthday, thinking that at this price point, there wouldn't be any birthday surprises. Since I couldn't change hotels, I figured I'd just deal with it and make up for it by going to Haitang Bay the next day. And sure enough, I wasn't disappointed – there was no surprise, haha! But honestly, the value for money is excellent. Birthday surprises and little touches like farewell gifts at checkout aren't necessary. I still recommend it! :)"

"The room is very exquisite, with a comfortable mattress and powerful air conditioning. The sea is 30 meters behind and the scenic spot is 200 meters to the right. The boss is very nice. Because the weather was bad and we wanted to go out, the boss gave each of us a handful of rain ☔. We will stay here again this winter. It is especially clean and comfortable."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Staying here with kids was a breeze! They had children's amenities ready for us upon arrival, and sand toys were available for free. The kids' club areas are well-designed, there are daily parent-child craft activities, and the shallow pool and lazy river are perfect for little ones to splash around in. A fine sandy beach is within walking distance, and breakfast is served until noon with a wide variety of dishes that cater to children's tastes. Overall, it's incredibly relaxing – ideal for a family vacation."

"Before check-in, a butler was already waiting to greet us. The room was spacious and the hygiene was impeccable, not to mention they proactively offered us two complimentary breakfasts. The main reason I'm writing this positive review is that at 2 AM, when I wanted to light mosquito coils but didn't have a lighter, the butler brought one to my room within ten minutes. This service is truly outstanding, making me feel that the money spent was absolutely worth it. Finally, when we left some clothes behind, they provided the quickest solution to get them back to us. 🥹💋"

"Facilities: Fully equipped, everything you need. I prefer a low pillow, and the hotel staff immediately brought one to my room. Cleanliness: Clean, tidy, and odor-free; excellent lighting and ventilation. Service: Warm and attentive, no hidden charges. I always stay at this hotel when I come to Lingshui. It's comfortable and relaxing, and it's cured my indecisiveness. Today, when I checked out, the hotel manager warmly welcomed me and helped with the check-out process. When I asked about a nearby convenience store, he even gave me two bottles of chilled mineral water. There were electric scooters blocking our car at the entrance, and the handsome hotel manager immediately moved them for us and reminded us to take our belongings. In short, I highly recommend it; it's great value for money. I'll definitely come again."

"This stay was great! The hotel room is large and clean, elegantly furnished, and it is particularly comfortable to stay. The surrounding environment is quiet and can make people completely relax. The pool is also very clean, the water quality is clear, and swimming in it is particularly pleasant. And the hotel is close to the sea, blowing the sea breeze and watching the sea view, so enjoyable. The most important thing to praise is the butler service, which is particularly intimate and thoughtful. "Our first stop for my birthday trip was the Kimpton Lingshui. I had emailed them in advance to let them know it was my birthday on the day of check-in, so the hotel specially arranged glass painting and a birthday cake (which was delicious!). The hotel proactively contacted us the day before check-in (in fact, they had contacted us several times between booking and check-in, but my Unicom service blocked all the calls 🥲). Both the public areas and the room's hardware and soft furnishings were incredibly stunning, with amazing attention to detail. The abundance of non-standardized furniture really appealed to me; it felt more like a seaside art gallery. We stayed for two nights, and the breakfast was semi-buffet style. The menu changed daily, which was a nice touch. While a few dishes were just average, the variety was quite rich, which made up for it. The hotel has its own e-sports center, designed in a very interesting way, especially the hidden entrance to the e-sports center! Playing e-sports at a resort hotel is a rare and unique experience, I loved it! The guest room was equipped with a Marshall speaker, Maison 21G toiletries, and a Dyson hairdryer, and even a yoga mat 🤣. The bedding was comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent. I didn't make any requests about the room view beforehand, but we ended up getting a sea-view room like a blind box reveal! 🥳 This was truly healing for both of us, as I had suddenly fallen ill before coming to Lingshui and couldn't participate in most of the hotel activities. The hotel seems to have an American style as its main theme; you often see staff zipping around on balance bikes delivering things, which is quite interesting! 😆 I want to give a special shout-out to our butler, Sarah ♥️♥️♥️. She was incredibly thoughtful and responsive, always fulfilling our requests with very fast reply speeds and highly efficient problem-solving! On our last night, I went to the e-sports center and left behind a hairpin (I didn't even realize it myself). When I returned to the room, I found Sarah had messaged me about it. It was already late and past her working hours, but she was still working overtime to follow up on this matter, which made me feel a bit embarrassed 🥹. Due to time constraints, I had to leave for our next destination before I could meet little Seven 😢😢. This stay experience definitely gets a big thumbs up! I'll be back for a second visit!"

"Staying at Capella Sanya again certainly confirmed those familiar sentiments: once you've experienced Capella, other hotels just don't quite measure up. Even after staying at over a hundred five-star hotels, and thirty in Hainan, I still feel Capella offers the best stay. A special thank you to Chris, the cultural and tourism officer, and the travel photography team. Improvements from our last visit: 1. Travel photography is now available, and the resulting photos are excellent. 2. The tennis court is now free and has no time limit. They even provide children's rackets, iced water, and iced towels – the attention to detail is superb. 3. Provided a dedicated car service to the station, greatly facilitating our journey to the next destination. 4. Used the gazebo for the first time. Especially after a fall that left me covered in sand, the gazebo's washing facilities were incredibly convenient. 5. Received complimentary champagne, making our 10th wedding anniversary feel truly special. 6. Had a dedicated discussion with the hotel management, which significantly deepened my understanding of the brand, making the stay experience more profound than superficial. 7. My child had the opportunity to play the piano and also saw the stunning high-altitude sea view of Tufu Bay, which is just as beautiful as Haitang Bay. 8. Experienced making my own cocktail at breakfast, something absolutely unheard of at other hotels, and it made up for a previous missed opportunity. 9. Children aren't allowed in the spa, but they can be looked after, which gave us great peace of mind. 10. The evening ceremony clashed with the crab-catching activity, but Chris, the cultural and tourism officer, took our child to catch crabs, allowing us to attend the evening ceremony without worry. This deserves high praise! 11. Received a full family souvenir gift. Every member was considered; in the past, souvenirs were only given to one person, but this time all three of us received one, which was a pleasant surprise. 12. The staff's service attitude has improved. The shuttle driver even came to our room door to pick us up, the pool lifeguard proactively called a car for us, and the manager conversed with us while kneeling the whole time. When we left, the car had driven quite a distance, but they were still waving goodbye. 13. There was an error in our booking, only reserving breakfast for one person, but the hotel provided a complimentary breakfast for the other person. Otherwise, the cost for an extra breakfast isn't low. A few points that weren't as good: 1. The explanation for the evening ceremony was unpracticed, the process was chaotic, and the sense of occasion was diminished. 2. Several communications happened during meal times, affecting our afternoon tea and breakfast experience. 3. There were some issues with the room's TV and electric curtain buttons. 4. The hotel activity schedule was less entertaining; the activities weren't as fun as before. Chris, the cultural and tourism officer, and his team provided a lot of information and suggestions. They truly consider the guests, making us feel at home. Only at Capella can you experience genuine butler service."
