The location is excellent, right by the Labi Hovuz pool. The area around it is very lively with many restaurants, and it's convenient to walk to the Trading Domes where there are lots of shopping opportunities. The staff are friendly, and there was even a very cute young boy who helped us with our luggage. You can't expect too much from the facilities given the old town's architecture; the room is a bit small. Personally, I'd suggest adding a shower curtain to the bathroom to prevent water from splashing onto the floor.

I decided to stay at Dunyo Palace as it had a swimming pool and was great value for money. Getting to Dunyo Palace was very easy on public transport as I caught bus no 33 from the centre of Bukhara straight to the outside of the hotel. It was easy. I have stayed at Dunyo palace before and I had a great stay. My room was bigger than expected with a fridge, air conditioning and a kettle. I was greeted by the nice reception lady she was very helpful. I had breakfast and it was a buffet with a large selection of Uzbekistan breakfast foods. An omelette was freshly prepared for me in the mornings. The hotel pool was really nice to swim in after a long day walking around sight seeing in Bukhara. I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel and I will stay again in the future. The images I share are of the room I stayed in on my departure, the air conditioning, and the bathroom area. I had to wait a long time to check in when I arrived, possibly because I booked that same evening and the hotel hadn't updated the order yet. I had booked a city view room, but was told the hotel's order was for a courtyard view, and that city view rooms were no longer available. The hotel offered to let me switch rooms the next day, but I decided against it as I didn't want to go through the hassle again. Later, the owner waived the laundry service fee for me. The next day, they asked for my passport again, saying they forgot to register it during check-in the day before. It really made me wonder what the front desk staff was doing during check-in that night. The owner, however, was quite polite and had a good attitude. The courtyard view room lacked privacy; I had to keep the curtains drawn all the time, which made it feel a bit claustrophobic. The room itself was mostly fine, but the bathroom's exhaust fan might be too close to the kitchen's range hood exhaust, as I could smell cooking fumes from breakfast in the bathroom in the mornings. Breakfast was just so-so. It started at 8 AM, and by a little after 9 AM, some dishes were almost gone. For example, there were only two fried eggs left, perhaps they weren't refilled promptly. While breakfast was filling, the variety and taste weren't as good as breakfasts at similarly priced hotels in China, so don't set your expectations too high. The figs, though, were good and sweet. Overall, it felt more like a guesthouse. If you're looking for more professional service and more facilities, a chain hotel would be a better fit. But if you're looking for value for money, it's sufficient for a quick stopover.

The staff were friendly, and the rooms were fairly clean, but no slippers or conditioner were provided. The hotel is located in the old town, a 15-minute walk from attractions and slightly closer to good restaurants. Be aware that the roads are quite narrow with many turns and a lot of traffic, so drivers may need time to find their way; it is recommended to walk out a bit or hail a taxi from the main street.

I had mixed feelings about the hotel. We booked two rooms for two guests each. One room was on the ground floor: the windows couldn't be opened because they overlooked the restaurant, there was no refrigerator, and the shower head didn't work. The second room was more spacious and comfortable, but they started repairs to replace the door lock without warning. It's unclear why they couldn't do this before check-in and start the work after the guests arrived. The hotel is authentic, but the service is nonexistent. We checked out at night, and there was no one at reception, nor did anyone answer the phone. Bottom line: the hotel is fine for the discerning traveler, but if you're used to service, it's best to look elsewhere.

The location on a busy street means there's occasional road noise, though it's not too loud with the window closed. You can walk to the main attractions from here. There's an on-site cafe where you can order room service and breakfast is served in the mornings. The service is excellent, and while the room furniture might be a bit dated, it could also be part of the room's theme. I would have liked faster internet. 🙏🫶

Mixed feelings about this hotel. The room is spacious with a large bed, but there was only 1 small duvet which we had to put the cover on ourselves. There is no additional lighting except for the main ceiling light. Poor Wi-Fi—the Smart TV didn't work. The room was not cleaned and towels were not changed, which is a major downside. The shower cabin is cramped. The breakfasts are good, with a great view from the terrace. Good location, 15 minutes to the main attractions, and there are several dining options nearby, including cafes and a bar. An additional plus was the prompt resolution regarding the cancellation of an extra night's booking (due to the risk of a flight delay); the refund was processed immediately via Trip. Overall, 3-4/5. If it weren't for the housekeeping and the duvet issue, I would have given it a higher rating.

Hotel Iman is located about 500 meters from the Four Towers Mosque and is also very close to the main attractions in the old town, with easy access by taxi. A line of tour buses is often parked outside, which seems to be a drop-off point for tourists since vehicles are prohibited in parts of the old town. The room is a bit small, but the facilities are complete and it's reasonably clean. The breakfast is delicious and quite extensive, giving it a true backpacker hostel vibe. The guy at the front desk was very friendly, but being an older building, the toilet flushing was a bit sluggish.

The hotel is located at the eastern edge of the old city, very close to Lyab-i Hauz and Kukaldosh Madrasah. Poi Kalyan and Kalyan Minaret are also nearby. While Ak-Saray Palace is a bit further, it's still well within walking distance if you enjoy a leisurely stroll and sightseeing along the way. If you get tired, taking a taxi back is always an option. The hotel itself is a charming, Central Asian-style building with a beautiful courtyard. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the shower and sink facilities are convenient to use. Primarily, a young male staff member (the son, perhaps?) seems to be in charge, and he speaks excellent English. He's very thorough, even confirming breakfast times. The other staff members (the parents, perhaps?) are all very pleasant as well. Breakfast offered an overwhelming array of delicious local dishes – more than one could possibly eat. One of my fond memories from the trip was being asked to translate several times for Japanese tourists who didn't understand ”Fried Egg or Omelet?” during breakfast :)
